These are one of those records. You listen to once and go "That was cool", then never listen to causally again. This is basically Swan-core. I don't think there is a single situation where I would come back to this record. I could imagine this being cool to see live and being performed. Much like most big bands (Jazz world ver.) are
It was a cool record though for what it is.
YOU DON'T KNOW ART UNTIL YOU LISTEN TO THIS BANGER. THIS WILL STAY LONGER THAN ALL OF US AS PEOPLE
Please for the love of god. Do not cut the high end of instruments entirely out to put the voice in. It's sounds underwater because of it
Its ok. It works and sounds clean. However, nothing really cool happens in it. It would be cool bgm while working on something though
I get the whole hexd/Sigilkore/jungle movement, but I feel like this is bad even for the genre. They have had an ungodly amount of attempts to get better and actively choose not to get better on any fronts. It's lofi for the sake of covering up the lack of growth rather than an aesthetic choice. Even for the genre, the vocals never stay the same and almost go into a shoegaze style of being covered up. This almost sounds like it was made within one day, with one vocal preset. Almost all of the ... read more
What if I just recorded the whole album and randomly dropped it
I can't rate this album. They will not let me out of the basement
Kirby down B has been the only song to capture gen z nostalgia perfectly. Other than that, Decent record
I'll be the person to say it. Why would I listen to this over the originals? I did like cry baby and tie die, but outside of that. What was the purpose? I would have ate up an acoustic album, but this wasn't it.
I'm trying to get into country that isn't bro country or I like to call it. Music for alcoholics in denial. This was the first album I listened to because I heard johnny cash is one of the best country artist. I picked this album because of how legendary some of the songs are. I actually really liked this other than "bad news". That song is kind of cringe, but the rest is really solid blues/country mix. I don't have much to say other than I think I will keep listening to this and try ... read more
This is punk/hardcore met actual emo. There is alot of cool ideas through out the project with hooks that get stuck in your brain for a while after you listen. Not many bands have capture this level of "title fight" and still invent on the sound with really cool pop/midwest emo influence. Great record with many cool concepts. The only downside is it stays in the same key for most of the run time, however I will give this a pass.
Coming from Free Throw's newest release, a mature pop punk/emo band that was great to this. Which I thought was a new Blink EP, but its just a collection of singles. Was an awful transition. They sound like they're adults trying to write songs that teenagers would write for money. I fully understand why pop punk has a bad reputation. I would hate pop punk too if this was my first exposure to the genre.
I guess "more than you know" was decent and "edging", minus dog piling ... read more
Free throw, to me. Never had a good album, great songs, but not a great album.
This still has the free throw sound, but taken it up to the next level. Especially the form of the songs are pushing free throw in really creative directions through out this project. I don't think any song is completely boring or dull. There is at least one moment that goes crazy within each track. The small details in the soundscapes also is wild in some of the songs. I need to listen to this album more to really ... read more
