Jane Remover - Indie rock

just jane having fun, experimenting with their sound and delivering some of the most raw thoughts of their current state that we've seen so far. theres a reason this was only up for an hour, but props to her for putting a little something extra out there for the die hards to enjoy.

파란노을 [Parannoul] - Sky Hundred

Parannoul's Magnum Opus.

We've all heard of fan songs, but Parannoul made a whole fan album, and its his greatest so far.

WE'RE SKY HUNDRED.

the white girls with starbucks cups are gonna go crazy for this one

After - Deep Diving

Handily the most lush and addictive track the trip hop duo After have crafted thus far.

yeule - Evangelic Girl is a Gun

Its no softscars, but still super nice yeule. The singles are the best tracks unfortunately, with nothing new on the album blowing me away.

Best Tracks: Eko, Dudu, Evangelic Girl is a Gun

Wow--- This is a SUPER endearing and promising debut album. Pretty stellar sound design throughout and super consistent with it's themes, making the whole thing feel incredibly cohesive. The 30 minutes really fly by, with the only song I wasn't quite gripped by being viceheart. Hyperpop isn't dead gang, and trans women are still paving the way.

Edit: Score 77 -> 89

The more I listen to this the more I am convinced it's one of the greatest hyperpop records to exist. ... read more

one of the most insulting "tributes" to a sound i have ever heard. the entire thing feels like a gimmick and an imitation (occasionally, a complete ripoff) of tropes that have been done infinitely better by far more sincere artists. obviously cecily has very little control over the vocals, which she decided to sing in a far-from-fluent korean probably just because parannoul sings in korean, but the instrumentation is just as barebones and careless. the mixing is awful, song structures ... read more

Porter Robinson - Nurture

Listening to this album genuinely changed the way I view the world. No other album has EVER done that before. Everything became so much more beautiful while I listened to this record, and after listening time and time again for the past 3 years, that feeling stuck and never went away. I used to hate going out on nature walks. "Ohhh cool a bunch of trees... and dirt... and rocks.... yayyy... totally haven't seen those before.... this is sooooo fun....." BUT NOW??? OH MY GOD EVERYTHING ... read more

"@multimate Yes I know they live in Korea, that doesn't make the korean on this feel any less of a gimmick. If they are fluent, then the lyricism on this really doesn't showcase that. These lyrics are some of the most barebones Korean I have ever heard on a record--- most of it you could probably learn on Duolingo. I assumed it was a lack a fluency, but I guess it could just be an inability to come up with complex or interesting lyrics. From my understanding Cecily's online presence is largely created in English- switching the language of this album to Korean still feels to me like a gimmick, trying to attract people interested in flagship underground Korean rock artists to this poor imitation/ripoff of their style. You're free to disagree!"
