WAITER WAITER, PLEASE MORE MAG BAY βΌοΈβΌοΈπ£οΈπ£οΈ
MAKES ME FEEL GOOD AND HAPPY πππππ
i think there's not a lot that makes stand out tho, just a nice, fun, easy listen!
1st listen: "this is decent..."
50th listen: "I LOV YOU UNCONDITIONALLY MAGDALENA BAY β€οΈππ"
My asexual ass realised I am NOT the target audience, but that's okay π
Absolutely see the appeal tho, some beats are hella groovy, just not for me !
Didn't enjoy as much as L.D.K., but still so vibey. Can't BELIEVE I haven't tapped into this artist sooner.
Had to revisit my least fav Peggy album before tapping into Experimental Rap, just so I know what I'm inevitably comparing to... ππ
Still great album though, I just get less hyped about this one compared to his older stuff.
Comfy album, lovely sounds, and weirdly relaxing (great for studying to).
I also want to lay down on that carpet in the album cover.
the perfect debut by queen nina herself?????
catchy songs, sometimes deep, sometimes bangers, and the transitions??? so peak
Not a good listen imo. Can't say much but a lot of these tracks are kinda forgettable, to the point that I don't remember a lot of the first half, despite it being overall the stronger half in my head. The wacky beat switch-ups throw me off a lot, and kinda ruin any immersive experience / vibe I had. Can't deny that "Make Them Cry", "Make Them Pay" and "National Treasures" are decent though.

There is something about "Sweet to Dream" and "The Party's Not Over" that is so immersive and addictive at the same time. They make me feel like I'm floating. "Better in the Dark" and "Summer's Over" are also notable tracks.
I love the chemistry between Jordana & TV Girl, I just wish this project bloomed into a full album, since the highlights on this album are breathtaking.

Decent album!
I don't have much input on this album, I LOVE some of the highest moments on this project, but most of it doesn't appeal to me too much. The instrumentals are beautiful, even on the longer tracks such as "Actress", it stays engaging throughout. I just think it might be the vocals that don't really move me too much...
DON'T GET ME WRONG, "Love Story" is a beautiful track, it's heart-wrenching and genuinely moves me, but a lot of the ... read more
Admittedly glitch pop and hyperpop are not some of my favourite genres, so I went into this project expecting not to enjoy it. HOWEVER, even as someone who doesn't personally vibe with this genre, my expectations were blown away, and I found that tsubi club's debut album is a very enjoyable listen !!
Definitely my personal bias kicking in, but I was a much bigger fan of the 2nd half of this project, which contained less intense and "in your face" type tracks, some of my ... read more
BULLY, despite being marginally better than Vultures 1, Vultures 2, and Donda 2, is still heavily flawed and kinda falls flat. I can first give this album it's praise by noting, whilst feeling incomplete, it's not a jumbled mess like Donda 2 was, and there are a few tracks that I enjoyed and take away from this album too. "PUNCH DRUNK" and "KING" are some of my favourites, and "ALL THE LOVE" is genuinely a great track.
However, some of the biggest ... read more
I'M SORRY IN ADVANCE !! I love that glass beach experimented and tried a new sound on plastic death, but I'm not the biggest fan honestly. It's still decent and there are great tracks I take away from this album, such as "puppy" and "abyss angel", but I much preferred the sound on "the first glass beach album".
THAT BEING SAID, reading through other people's reviews (that are much more positive than mine) I understand the praise. It's much ... read more
Bonito Generation is so positive, happy, and feel-good, and it's not enforced in a way that feels over the top or cringe. And despite being so happy-go-lucky from front to back, the songs don't feel "samey" and it's very fresh all throughout. Take "Big City" and "Try Me" for example, not only are they so lyrically different, but they both imbue a different feeling, even if all emotions are generally positive.
And even though I don't enjoy this ... read more
This album is so pretty and instrumentally rich. It has such a vivid sound, and it helps to almost paint the stories perfectly in your head. It's presented in such a theatrical way, and I feel like there's a lot of replay value too (I find myself coming back to the first 4 or so tracks A LOT).
I do think that it gets SLIGHTLY weaker towards the middle of the album, but it sticks the landing well, and starts even better. In a way, I do find that the vocals on some tracks get drowned ... read more
