Such a dark atmosphere all throughout, despite these horrorcore beats and the low voices most the members rap with. The lyrics aren’t as fierce as you would think. You really see how influential Spaceghostpurpp is.
This album goes up and down, from acts 1-4 it’s solid, songs we already heard and then it goes on a boring streak up until act viii: I hate to be alone. The instrumental with his baby voice creates a beautiful song imminent of 90s R&B. Then we end with a solid Kanye verse on the act iii remix. Overall if you didn’t like the singles and don’t care for 4batz, don’t listen to this. It’s a decent project but we’ll probably forget about this dude in a couple ... read more
I was interested in this album because “Shame on a…” was my favorite track off 36 chambers but Dang This is probably one of the craziest album experiences ever. The delivery, the random cuts of sex, the weirdest hooks. First listen I was confused but by the 2nd listen I couldn’t stop listening to it, one of my favorite albums of the 90s. RIP Ol’ Dirty Bastard
One of the best albums of the 2000s. Despite Kanye going for a more pop/ radio friendly sound he does great and he delivers some of his best production in his entire career
Production was actually tolerable for once but bladee’s delivery is as uninspiring and annoying as always.
Earl’s title track is such a dark song imminent of his style before he got sent to the boarding school in Samoa. Decent album
As mid as drake is, this shit was fire. “Maroon 5 need a verse you better make it witty, then we need a verse for the swifties” This bar was targeted at Kendrick but it could also be for rocky as he also featured on the red pill blues album by maroon 5. This was heat, great response by drake
I hear a more coherent band album, one that isn’t purely Syd. Steve lacy having a lead singer roles throughout the album most notably on Roll (Burbank Funk) and Matt martians having some verses made it a much more complete album with noticeable chemistry between the members. The instrumentals on this are a bit more experimental like the hard hitting drums on Bravo (which I don’t like but I know some people might enjoy them). The lack of features on this project also makes this album ... read more
The sound displayed on here could’ve never prepared me for the maturity shown on The forever story. This album was whatever, it’s not that good tbh
Unfunny top reviews by Matt from Rap TV and Rice. Genuinely never been more unamused by jokes but these throwaways are great. Wharf talk is one of my favorite songs of 2023 and has been on repeat since that shit came out, great all around
