This album is freakin awesome. This is probably the most enjoyable album I've heard yet this year, and I'm so incredibly excited for whatever this band does next.
I discovered these guys through there Tiny Desk concert, and that was quite a great first impression.
There are so many amazing songs on here, filled with odd time signatures and refreshing, funky chord changes. And the amount of variation between the tracks is wild, like the funky, upbeat indie pop sound of songs like Age ... read more
I've been waiting for these guys to finally make a full album, and although my expectations weren't fully met, it's still a good time.
This whole album is filled with fun, bright guitar rock, to the point where I'm craving something a little different from them. Although there are absolutely some tracks that deviate from this sound the band has developed over the years, I still wish they'd experiment a little more.
The most unique track on here is Eastside, and I'm ... read more
Although imperfect, this is no doubt an instant classic. I never thought I would enjoy Getting Killed by Geese, but it was a good time.
I love the gritty sound they maintain throughout this album. Whether it's a slower, ballad-like track or a more intense rocker, it's distinctly Geese in every way. Although Cameron's vocals can seem almost abrasive at times, it compliments the rest of the band's sound perfectly and adds endless charm.
Although this album is undoubtedly ... read more
I'm gonna flex so hard on my grandkids that I was alive for Mag Bay and they weren't
I've been on a streak of listening to a bunch of albums, new or classic, every week for about a year and a half now.
One of the first albums I listened to was OK Computer, and that was my absolute favorite of all time.
Until THIS ONE
This is my new favorite album, wish I checked it out way sooner.
I would do a track-by-track review but there are so many little details in love in every song that I'd never be able to type everything out.
Love the majestic vocals and mesmerizing ... read more
Simply an amazing, well-made album. Every song contributes to the overall story and vibe, and has so much detail and energy put into it.
While at times, the tracks can feel slow, there is enough variety in the tracklist where you can't quite know what's coming next. Some highlights are the exciting and beautiful intro in NO QUESTIONS ASKED, the smooth and groovy bossa nova on GODSTAINED, the charming and unique production on MONDAY, and the absolute banger that is DANCING WITHOUT ... read more
An incredibly enjoyable project oozing with energy.
I fell in love with this album not long ago, and only enjoy it more and more ever since.
However, while the individual songs are amazing, as a full listen, this album tends to drag.
It feels that all the best songs are at the beginning, and once you get past the first few, it starts to get sluggish. If the middle-end of the album was more interesting than it is, I would have given this a much higher score, but sadly that isn't reality.

This used to be tied with OK Computer as my favorite Radiohead album.
Sadly, as time has passed, this album had grown off of me. And while I can respect the quality, effort, and artistry that went into this album, I have simply fallen out of love with it.
Despite me not enjoying as I once did, it's still one of my favorite albums and it wouldn't feel right to give it any lower than a 80.
I really liked this one. I can easily tell that all the artists involved, especially Kevin, put a lot of passion into this project. However, I obviously still have some criticisms.
While I enjoyed many of the features, it feels like the features made up most of the album and we didn't get to hear much of Kevin himself.
The tracklist at times feels messy and not very cohesive. While I do like the unpredictability, it feels like it's less a full project of cohesive tracks and more just ... read more
