Fred's remix has to be one of the most exciting electronic tracks of this year
00Yume makes a very beautiful mixture of amazing textures alongside pretty synths and good drum beats. The whole project sounds rather dark at times, but some parts remind me of stuff like Lo-Fi Hip-Hop. As a fellow Ambient musician, this is impressive! I will make sure to listen to the artist's next works in the future.
Great vocal perfomances and the beats are catchy and happy. The lyrics aren't exactly very happy but it's still good for a nice time walking around the park. Also the random TTS tags remind me of something like a wifiskeleton
There are some good cuts on the EDM/Trap side on this record, same with the hip-hop side, but them both together just doesn't work. DJ Snake makes a good mix of the genres in his DJ sets but in a record like this, not only does it not fit, it just makes for a non-pleasant listening experience. I wouldn't mind 1 album full of EDM and another with just hip-hop tho π
I realized after the creator's comment I spoke the wrong way, so here's a re-review.
This record feels like a lesser Everywhere at the end of time, kind of like a short version, which makes me not enjoy it as much due to it's length. If the tracks were more fleshed out and longer, I think this would be on par with the actual Everywhere at the end of time.
Thank you Z. Younk for the recs from his label!
Great project. A lot of it is really well produced
Have you ever heard a record so sad, so depressing you don't wanna visit it again? This is it. I cried on my bathroom floor for hours after finishing it. It sounds like what I imagine things like depression to be like from someone who has it's standpoint. Possibly one of the saddest albums of all time.
Infinity Repeating has to be one of the greatest tracks of this generation.
i remember when i would visit my grandma with dementia before she passed. watching her slowly deteriorate. forgetting me and my mothers names, our faces, this album pictures that perfectly. i had to take about 7 breaks due to me uncontrollably crying, this demonstrates the stages of dementia so well, as someone who has witnessed it first hand it is straight heartbreaking to listen to. the way it is so identical to the true feeling makes this a perfect musical piece, but not something i will ... read more
stage 6 isn't the end of just the series, it's the end of everything. the last chapter feels like total erasure of the self after five phases, getting worse each time. stage 6 feels like a haunting void, the final quiet of the disease that is dementia, unlike the other stages which had atleast a bit of emotion.
90 follower special!! thank you guys so much <3
stage 5(31/10/2025, i guess me listening to this on halloween kinda fits?)
stage 5 is the mind nearly falling apart. pure angst. if stage 4 was "breakage of the mind", this is the aftermath, how it feels after everything. there is a strangely overwhelming emptiness to this stage. The Caretaker uses the silence and static like instruments, making you feel the void that dementia patients feel.
i love doja's lyrics on this, but i gotta shoutout Com Truise aswell for Brokendate, very great song and a perfect beat for this. i dont get how some people say Brokendate was "basic" without Doja's vocals
as usual with most of Caesar's work, Superpowers and Unstoppable are great but the rest is just kind of meh
stage 4(30/10/2025 i got anxious and wanted to hear more)
this cuts the beautiful piece from the stages of forgetting to straight breakage of the mind. the old music samples are still there, but so hard to hear at times you can barely notice it. you can see how much heavier this record is from the more drones and static.
