A kaleidoscopic collection of songs with a deep roster of features, NEVER ENOUGH is a cohesive display of genre experimentation that cements Caesar's place as one of the smartest and most talented artists in today's constantly mutating R&B pantheon.

‘NEVER ENOUGH’ feels like the quintessential Daniel Caesar album: equally experimental and not, this is a body of work which highlights his famed vocals, feels perfectly produced and guides listeners through the hazy uncertainty of love and loss whilst still offering something fresh and clean.

Never Enough functions as a break-up album, but it also marks a redemption arc for a flawed man with equally flawed views to make a case at proving he’s matured.

Hopefully he doesn't become so disenchanted that he stops making open, messy, and fascinating albums such as this one.

I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must've done it half a dozen times
I wonder if it's too late
Should I go back and try ... read more

NEVER ENOUGH is a largely soothing, and at times ethereal record. Daniel’s voice shines, piercing through some stripped back, mellow, and melancholic ballads, with the occasional upbeat sprinkle thrown in throughout. His delivery is evocative and emotive, and his material is a raw and intimate form of storytelling. The opening half of the record is exceptional, there’s really not a single miss and plenty of highlights - none more so than ‘Always’. You could argue ... read more
