YUNG LIXO - Validation
100

man what can i say about this...
Yun li is my favourite artist by far so when this dropped i was hyped. going through this the first time was weird, i didn't like it that much, i thought it was too real and too serious for someone that rapped about goofy stuff all the time. now almost 2 years after the release of the LP i think it a masterpiece. The mensage that it wants to share, good lyrics and some of the best performances from yun li in his whole catalogue. The production is clean and ... read more

Whitelands - Sunlight Echoes
75

The second album by the British band Whitelands that has been building a name for itself over the years in the shoegaze scene, Sunlight Echoes, follows their 2024 album Night-bound Eyes Are Blind to the Day, which was personally my first experience with their music. In a way, it wasn’t a particularly memorable project at the time. I ended up listening to it only a few times and then putting it aside, the sound becomes repetitive after a while, and the album’s overall energy ... read more

Baxter Dury - Allbarone
90

Every once in a while, an album arrives unannounced and quietly flips your expectations upside down. Allbarone is that kind of record. Coming from an artist I’d never fully tapped into before, Baxter Dury delivers something that feels both immediately familiar and wholly refreshing — an album that dances in the margins between groove and grit.

The title track is a revelation. It’s been on daily rotation since first listen, and for good reason: it’s sleek, hypnotic, and ... read more

JACKBOYS - JACKBOYS 2
45

“Forgettable at best” might be the most generous way to describe JACKBOYS 2 — a project that somehow manages to sound like a victory lap and a filler tape at the same time. While the original JACKBOYS brought some chaotic cohesion and an infectious energy that felt raw and self-aware, this sequel lacks both direction and soul. It’s as if everyone showed up late to the session, laid down a few verses on autopilot, and dipped.

There isn’t a single track here that ... read more

pessoalmente é o artista que mais me impressiona e prende, literalmente saltei quando comecou o vocal. adoro os albuns instrumentais mas por favor continua a cantar, preciso disso pra viver a este ponto

ISIS - Panopticon
85

This was something different. I’m not an expert on metal, and honestly I haven’t spent a lot of time with the genre, but Panopticon really opened something up for me. It’s not the aggressive, chaotic sound I used to associate with metal. This is way more atmospheric, patient, and immersive, and it just completely worked for me.

Vocally, it has its moments, but it’s really the instrumentals that carry this. The entire album is built on layered textures and evolving riffs ... read more
