i think this album is really just a generic pop album with a country twang, but i’m all for the new pop girls doing their thing, there are some feel good songs on there and a few sadder ones exactly what i’d expect from her she ate.
first heard a song from this album on my lesbian, jewish, english teachers story and i think that perfectly encompassed what this album is all about, dragging you right in with the loud and energetic soup to the slow, somber, blues inspired motorcycle really throwing you through a loop and taking you on a very fulfilling journey about love and i love songs about love.
can’t believe it took this long for me to get into clairo, i’ve loved her older stuff like pretty girl and some of her songs that did the rounds on the internet but she really does have a unique sound that i’m surprised i didn’t latch onto sooner, what a fantastic album by a fantastic artist.
i really loved the entire album all the way through, something sad and pop-like is exactly what i needed and feel good songs like hot to go and super graphic ultra modern girl really tied this album together nicely, while chapel is reinventing the wheel i think that it’s just something people haven’t had heard in a while and i think that’s great
this album kind of got a lot of hate but i really enjoyed it, i know the majority of people don’t like the way she sings so softly but it’s kind of her thing, and while i would love to see something new and while i didn’t like it as much as her previous album it was still a great listen and a huge win for lesbians everywhere.
