What an album, Absolution is an outstanding album with ZERO tracks that disappoint. Not a single track is leaning towards average or something you need to be in the mood to like. I think it's a serious achievement to have all 14 tracks be that good because there are many other albums where a section of the album is at an extremely high level and it's just let down by a single section or song.
There are so many tracks that deserve talking about specifically, one odd one to bring up is Interlude, I don't know why but it's so good at what it does like it could have just been part of Falling Away with You but sure, have it be a separate track. Somehow it's good enough for that. Insane. The loud tracks are great, the slow tracks are great, there is genuinely nothing to complain about. If I was forced to nitpick I would say the tracks could have better transitions but other than that there is nothing.
I <3 Hysteria, what a banging track like you can see why it's their most popular song. It sounds stupid but it's the thing that got me more into Absolution specifically. I was hooked on Origin of Symmetry from the lesbian stalker and I got hooked on Absolution from Fortnite Festival of all things, before I found that it was listed there I had only listened to Absolution in its entirety and never any of the tracks on their own. I was missing out. The guitar goes crazy. My only complaint is the song isn't even longer but even then the next track is Blackout which is such a beautiful track.
I think of Absolutions as highly as I do The Wall because although it's not as opera and half an hour shorter it has that aura. Like it's not epic in scale but epic in heart, it's something I would want to put on full volume when I am alone as a treat not just on whilst my focus is talking to friends.
