The Beatles - Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
79

Yeah it's cheesy, sure The Beatles themselves hated it, but damn if this tune doesn't make me smile.

The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
91

Exhibit A in the case of George Harrison being the best Beatle. Peak songwriting right here.

Metallica - Spit Out The Bone
85

Damn this album really did have its fair share of fantastic songs. If you were to cut down 'Hardwired' to like its best eight tracks, you might have an even better album than Black.

Sam Hunt - Hard To Forget
9

Wow that singing leading into the chorus is so blatantly off-key it's unbelievable. Like would it have killed him to do another take because this is egregious. That being said, I don't think a better take could have saved this song...

The White Stripes - Hotel Yorba
90

Endearing, sweet, and totally smile-inducing. One of my favorite Stripes tracks of all time.

Troye Sivan - Bloom
70

I'm not crazy about this guy's music, but making a hit song about bottoming is something amazing in and of itself.

Lou Reed & Metallica - The View
64

Sure, it is an awkward combo and it sure as hell ain't perfect. But if you ask me if I'd take this over commercial-minded duds like "I Disappear", I'd take "The View" all day.

Kanye West - All of the Lights
73

This song is just absurd, like look at that feature list. Maximalist pop rap does not get more max than this.

Juice WRLD - Robbery
86

Probably my favorite Juice WRLD single. Juice's death really got to me, not only was he tragically young, but he was incredibly talented and sat on so much potential. Songs like this one really made me think, "wow, this guy's capable of great things". And even though his time was cut horribly short, I can still look to "Robbery" as one of the best songs in emo rap.

Migos - Deadz
85

Surprisingly amazing.

Iron Maiden - Can I Play With Madness?
85

Love this tune. All of the best aspects of Maiden's high-concept side condensed into a catchy three minute package. It does sound unbelievably 80s, but it also happens to sound unbelievably good.

Green Day - Holiday
66

Cheesy as all hell, but undeniably catchy. One of the more tolerable songs of the American Idiot era for me.

Metallica - One
97

If I didn't hear this song on Guitar Hero III all those years ago, I'm not sure if I'd have the same love of music I do today. One of the single greatest metal tracks ever recorded, bass or no bass. The progression of this track is so brilliantly seamless that you won't even realize it's gotten heavy until those iconic 0-0-0-0-0 machine gun guitars fire through your speakers and up your skeleton. And then there's the guitar solo. Yeesh.

Liturgy - PASAQALIA II
68

Why can't I stop listening to this.

Swans - Oxygen
75

Michael Gira: *wretches his throat and barks like an actual dog*

music fans: "iconic, innovative, bop, challenging..."

Charli xcx - Vroom Vroom
94

Maybe her best single ever, it's really everything I could want out of a Charli XCX song. Sophie's production is nimble and elastic while still being unbelievably hard. And Charli's performance is just overflowing with pure magnetic SASS. Absolutely amazing song.

Charli xcx - Boys
83

Iconic tbh...

Death Grips - Takyon (Death Yon)
88

After all these years this song still sounds like blacking out after someone clocks you in the side of a head with a cinderblock. In the best way of course.

St. Vincent - Cheerleader
80

I- I- I- I- IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
