An incredibly tedious listen that I couldn’t wait to be over.

Fun, just like all of these Lice projects. Yeah, Aesop is stronger than Homeboy but they play off each other like friends just having a good time making stuff they like.

Killer early 90s hip hop that somehow sounds perfectly of its time and ahead of it at the same time.

Not bad. A few misses though, Boldy and the production here doesn’t always mesh very well. Sounds like he’s trying to catch up to the beat on more than a few occasions.

He’s really versatile and there are some serious bangers here. It’s uneven but the ambition and skill is wildly impressive so who fn cares. Feels like it gets stronger as he takes more risks and those risks happen more frequently as the album carries on.

Not bad. Not good. Just a case where I finished an album with almost the exact same opinion I started with.

Pretty much what you’d expect out of a DG ep that’s one 22 min track. Sounds really cool even if it would have better broken up into individual tracks.

Boldy has reached that point where you pretty much know what you’re getting, and whether that’s a strength or a weakness depends on what you’re looking for. As far as this one goes for me, it hits more than it doesn’t.

Nothing is bad, but too much of it just drifts by without leaving much of an impression.

Started incredibly strong and slowly lost steam as it went, but overall this is still a really enjoyable project. Even when the momentum dips, the vibe rarely does.

Nice little surprise taster plate with 2 dope tracks and one decent offering.

This dude has completely changed the way I think about music. Not just what I rate highly, but why I rate things highly. The way I think about creativity, identity, risk, all of it. Listening to this feels less like hearing another great album and more like watching somebody build a completely different blueprint in real time. And what makes this hit even harder is how timely it feels. The paranoia, exhaustion, anger, isolation, the feeling of being crushed under systems that don’t care ... read more
Dope rhymes, dope production. Enjoyable listen. hyo hyo

Takes everything he built on the first album and just draws a bolder line around it. He has no interest in being flawless. The goal is memorable. Push the sound further, make things weirder, take another hard left turn and trust the listener to keep up. And somehow, most of the time, he absolutely earns that trust. And he did it here by creating a chaotic, creative, fully alive masterpiece.

Every song is a banger. But the last minute of almost every song, while I get the sentiment, is unfortunate. Dude is so good though, I’ll take his music however it comes.

This dude is undeniable. So wildly creative and constantly taking chances, like he got bored with the idea of genre boundaries halfway through making the album and just decided they didn’t matter anymore. Not every swing lands perfectly, but honestly that almost makes me respect it more because he’s aiming way higher than most artists even attempt to. And when it does land, it’s fn unbelievable.

It’s clunky and takes its time really getting warmed up. But when it finally does, the highs are playlist mainstays.
