I think I speak for most people, especially in Europe, when I say that Eminem was the starting point in hip hop for many of us. I remember getting "The Eminem Show" CD for my birthday when I was 5 or 6 years old. Obviously, I was too young to understand the lyrical content, and being German, there was a language barrier too. But I still loved the album as a kid. As I got older, I started to understand more and wanted to listen to everything he made. His peak was definitely the ... read more
I have rarely listened to an album that is so uninspired, lacking in personality and cringe-worthy.
Joey Valence & Brae's "NO HANDS" is such a nostalgic trip, even Fred Durst had to make a cameo on the cover.
What a snoozefest. This guy has absolutely no artistic growth and I'm tired of listening to one boring album after another.
Who's doing it like her right now?!
Charli XCX's "brat" was one of my most anticipated albums of the year, and it absolutely delivered! It's a very introspective and relatable club album. Charli lays bare her insecurities, unfiltered for the listener.
The tribute to the late pop icon SOPHIE, "So I" is definitely one of the album's highlights. It's a beautiful yet heartbreaking song and I believe a live performance would bring many fans to ... read more
ARTMS' debut album is everything I could ask for a K-pop album. The catchy melodies grabbed my attention right away, and the vocals are impressive. The production quality is very good, making the whole album enjoyable and fun to listen to.
I was already super excited about the four singles they released before the album. Since I got into K-pop this year, I couldn't wait for this album to drop, and it totally lived up to the hype in my opinion. Almost every song is a banger and kept me hooked. ... read more
This was sad as hell. Now I'd like to cheer myself up by riding horses and eating steak.
Damn... I've been wanting to check this out for some time now, and only found out about the tragic death of Kai a few days ago. I'm saving myself a comprehensive review because it wouldn't do Kai justice and I'm also a bit out of sorts. To have been able to achieve something like this at the age of just 17 is incredible to me. We have truly lost a talented person and I wish to send my heartfelt condolences to Kai's family and closest friends.
It seems he lacked any passion or motivation, appearing as bored as I felt while listening to this for the most time.
I had been really looking forward to the re-release of "1989" because I personally think this album is one of Taylor Swift's most significant and amazing works. But, I've got to admit, I found this re-release somewhat lacking, as it felt a bit empty compared to the original.
There were definitely some good moments on this re-recorded album. Songs like "Out Of The Woods", "I Wish You Would", and "I Know Places" really captured the vibe of the earlier ... read more
Does he actually take this trash seriously? I mean, sure, he more or less ruined his own career (based on sales and streams, to be honest, the music wasn't really good before either), but that doesn't mean he has to shower us with shit.
I'm a big Phoebe Bridgers fan and I've been a fan of boygenius as well. I found their self-titled EP to be incredibly impressive and their debut album released earlier this year was also great. So, when they announced this EP, I was excited to listen to it.
"The Rest" is a bit tricky to assess, as the name suggests; it's essentially a collection of B-sides or leftovers of their previous record. The instrumentals are decent but maybe not as impressive as on the album. However, the ... read more
He can't miss. The production on this EP takes a slightly calmer tone compared to the previous one in this series, which suits him well. The instrumentation matches really well, creating a seamless blend that enhances the overall experience. It's hard for me to decide which of the two EPs I prefer, as both speak for themselves and are really good and enjoyable. Jean once again demonstrates that he's undoubtedly talented and will give us good music for a long time to come. I'm just excited to ... read more
Having been familiar with Aphex Twin's name for years but never delving into his complete projects until now, I finally listened to his latest EP. Although I've only heard individual songs before, mostly from his Spotify top 10, this EP was very solid.
While I understand that his full studio albums may offer more groundbreaking material, I still enjoyed this EP a lot and it was very enjoyable. Overall, it was a great introduction to Aphex Twin's work, and I look forward to exploring more of ... read more
My expectations were already low, but it turned out to be even worse than I could have imagined. The beat selection was incredibly generic. DDG's delivery lacked any inspiration and the lyrics were just terrible, I haven't heard such a collection of trashy lines in a long time. It all started with the opener, which had the worst post-chorus I've heard in a while: "Fans all on my penis (Penis) too much stress, don't need it (Don't even need it) If you see me tweet, ... read more
"Etazhi" by Molchat Doma from Belarus has a dark vibe that's totally my style, creating an awesome atmosphere. The band's unique fusion of post-punk and synthwave sets them apart, making the album feel fresh and original.
The album has a melancholic factor that resonates with me, especially in "Судно (Борис Рижий)", which undoubtedly serves as the highlight of the album. The synths are impressively powerful, and the delivery throughout the track is on point, ... read more
I don't get why some people like him so much. I always thought his music wasn't that good. The production of this short EP is bland and uninteresting. I don't like his flow over the beats, and he definitely doesn't know what a good chorus is. 'Long Nights' might be the worst rap song I've heard this year.
This new Chlöe album lacks the ability to engage with its uninteresting, uninspiring, and generic R&B sound. It doesn't do anything for me at all. One or two songs are okay, especially the title track, which is decent, but the rest is just dull. If you want to fall asleep, you can give the album a listen.
