C,XOXO lacks proper direction, making it feel like you're being rushed through each track. While she tried something new, it doesn’t come across well at all. The album is all over the place and doesn't provide a fine listen at all.
Regaining some spotlight thanks to his involvement on Vultures, Rich The Kid fails to deliver once again with Life's A Gamble. The album is a mess with generic production and lackluster bars from start to finish.
That was not so timeless. Sometimes, it’s better for certain artists to step away from music and explore other professions.
Too bad G-Eazy is still stuck in 2015. The album is a total mess with dull production and even more dull bars.
Samurai is a masterful display of top-tier lyricism and storytelling. Lupe once again proves he's one of the best lyricists in the game, creating a great concept album with sharp and deliberate delivery. Samurai is a standout piece in his discography, highlighting his skill as both a rapper and a storyteller.
Finally officially released, Days Before Rodeo still sounds as good as it did 10 years ago.
Rome Streetz is in his bag again with Hatton Garden Holdup. Daringer provides grimy production, while Rome Streetz delivers standout lines as always, resulting in a compelling collab-album.
WSG is back with another installment in the 'Praying' series. Still Praying marks a step up compared to the more bloated previous release, delivering a sharper and more focused project. Though seeing mixed reactions on DJ Drama's involvement, I believe he adds depth to the project, bringing that mixtape feel.
Why Lawd? perfectly shows the creative chemistry between Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge. Their latest collaboration results in another album that’s both musically rich and emotionally resonant, offering a fresh take on the fusion of soul, hip-hop, and R&B. A must-listen for everyone, no matter your musical preferences.
Mach-Hommy delivered one of the best albums of 2024. #RICHAXXHAITIAN is a bold, high-energy project full of infectious beats, heavy basslines, and slick production, showcasing undeniable confidence. The lyrics weave personal experiences with celebratory themes, creating a vibe that's empowering and raw. It’s a very enjoyable project that’s sure to make a lasting impression.
Drawing inspiration from the country genre, Beyoncé masterfully blends its influences into her own style, creating a compelling pop album that feels fresh and authentic.
070 Shake really outdid herself with Petrichor. It’s the kind of album that feels like a journey, blending her signature atmospheric sound with deeply personal and introspective lyrics. The way she channels raw emotion through such intricate, layered production is what makes this project stand out. Each song flows into the next, giving the whole album this immersive feel, as if it’s telling one ongoing story.
What I love most is that Petrichor isn’t just about refining what ... read more
Man of the Woods didn’t raise my expectations for JT’s next project, but it’s still disappointing to see he’s not the same artist he once was .The album feels bland and uneventful, ultimately coming across as a soundtrack to a mid-life crisis.
What could've been... Some cool ideas, a lot of weird choices. While Vultures 1 had its highlights, Vultures 2 feels lacking in almost everything. At least they had fun I guess? Here’s hoping Ye returns to full form with Bully.
Unfortunately, EA2 is all over the place, featuring some of Uzi's worst songs ever released. While there are a few decent tracks (Light Year, Chill Bae, PerkySex) the project as a whole falls short and doesn't even compare to Pink Tape and coming nowhere close to the first installment.
Enjoyable at times, but never really special. Though it's not too bad, it's just somewhat uninteresting overall and not really doing enough to grab your attention.
Bold move to leave out his two breakout hits though, but seems like a fine decision. Commercial succes is not as important as most people make it seem.
Beautifully executed deluxe for an already impressive album.
New renditions of Satellite Business and Dancing Circles take these tracks to a whole new dimension. Re-Entry might be a top 3 song on the entire album for me, while Sensory Nectar, being more experimental, could also have easily made the original tracklist. Sampha's vision is really out of this world.
A disastrous attempt at a comeback, failing on every conceivable level. The Katy Perry who dominated the 2010s is long gone, replaced by an even blander, uninspired version of what she already had become over the past years. The songwriting is atrocious, the sound is painfully generic, and it clings desperately to a formula that should have been left behind years ago. If emptiness had a soundtrack, this would be it.
