Just like Time Out of Mind it’s fragmentary and elegiac… has lots of wonderful mirrorings with Blood on the Tracks. I like Bob’s voice in this one immensely. In terms of this century, maybe only bested by Rough and Rowdy Ways.

relistened straight through for the first time in a while… still his best. Not Dark Yet is the moving song ever written.
