I thought While The World Was Burning was a step into a wrong direction for SAINt JHN and after a 5 year wait (as a BIG fan of both Ghetto Lenny's Love Songs and Collection One) I couldn't help but feel excited for what was to come as versatility of JHN's is rarely matched in the industry. Unfortunately the step into a wrong direction taken with previously mentioned 2020 album has now turned into a full-blown derailment. :(

To start things on a positive note, there are no bad tracks on this one and there is always a sonical element or a lyric that grabs your attention, but it fails to deliver on those moments of brilliance with a lack of cohesion between the songs. Instrumentally it delivers on all fronts, but once again, genre-bending from track to track only works when there is a musical motif or a lyrical theme that connects them, improving the album experience - which is what this album sort of lacks.

Just shrug worthy album. Nothing inspiring, nothing particularly interesting to keep coming back to. Is probably gonna go 3x platinum in Zara's fitting rooms .

21 Savage's throwaway verse is unfortunately the highlight on this one
