Sure it's stupid, but it's good kind of stupid, i have to say, it's good satire.
As an experimental album, Sandinista! does a great job, and the way how they mixed different genres is amazing, and it has a great song structure.
Yknow as a so bad it’s good album it can be funny, but on the other side it barely sounds like a rap album, while some of the rock tracks are good, a lot of the tracks are bad and downright forgettable. Dee Dee’s rapping is poor at best.
This album is just awful, considering it’s called cut the crap, this album IS crap. Infact it’s probably the first album I’ve listened to that caused me a headache. It doesn’t even feel like album The Clash would made, it sounds like your generic 80s album trying to be a clash album, the synthesiser’s are awful, it sounds like someone is playing using their heads, the drums are obviously a drum machine and often times sound off beat. As amazing of a band as The Clash are, this is without a doubt their best album, it’s also my favourite album of all time. I consider it the most shining moment in Punk history while at the same time it mixes with New Wave really well. The songs in this album are without a doubt my fav Clash songs, like the title track, Jimmy Jazz, Spanish Bombs, Rudie Can’t Fail, I’m not down, Lovers rock, Lost in the Supermarket, Clampdown, wrong’em Boyo and especially Hateful.
