(Album To Listen List #1)
This isn't punk, at lest not anymore.
I KNOW THAT'S A BIG CLAIM, BUT HEAR ME OUT!!!!
Look, I love punk as much as the next guy, with the music paving potencial for biting, destructive songwriting with almost revolutionary lyrics and harsh, intentionally under proudced and straight to the point, no fluffing around, all while fighting against the norm of a modern society revolting against fast drums and even faster guitars. That to me is what classic punk was. That's ... read more
Pat Smear is pretty cool for having been in this band, playing with Nirvana and then being in Foo Fighters. Also, decent album.
It's like if the Sex Pistols were more hardcore, more drunk, and covered in a thick layer of salt. The melodies find their way through a dense forrest of incomprehensible vocal delivery. I can’t understand anything he’s say and it just sounds like random noises being yelled at me and it’s really annoying. There are some tracks that have some genuinely awful screeches and just terrible vocal inflections in my opinion. I feel like if the band actually had ... read more
The instrumentals on (GI) are actually pretty good but the leas singer is genuinely just hootering and hollering and is kinda hard to understand most if not all of what he’s saying without pulling up lyrics. nonetheless this album is awesome
