I remember seeing these guys being dissed by Arcade Fire fans for their comment on wanting to be "the next Arcade FIre".
Sure, it's a bit weird wanting to be the next of something, when you could become your own yourself...but these guys have taken their influences (Arcade Fire included) and formed their own interesting sound. I had to come back and write this because this has been bugging me. First off, the album is good, it's acceptable. There's not a "Chemistry" here that I can point out, they're all solid in their own way. However, the lyrics and the constant politcal/social commentary can get fucking tiring. I miss when Win and Régine would write beautiful lyrics over beautiful instrumentals on earlier albums rather than having beautiful instrumentals with PHONE BAD GOVERNMENT BAD bullshit.
