Just rename the band to be called NEW FRIENDS
musically the are louder and harder.
Vocally they are more yelling.
They sound like an endless amount of other bands. Since losing Dan, they lost their uniqueness and what made them "REAL".
Cody is great, but he fundamentally makes this band a different band. There is an audience for that, hell, I'll keep listening but this is not REAL FRIENDS.

As it gets warmer (weather wise) in Australia, this is going to be such a great album to blast on hot days, in the car, windows down, driving fast on the freeway.
I think it's funny when your average band release a 10 track LP it's like, of man I want more. But then you have Origami Angel release a 14 (sometimes more) track album and I feel overwhelmed. But after 3 listens, no other band can do that without feeling oversaturated. OA know what they are doing. Love them for it!

Feels like Aquabats for contrarians.
It's enjoyable, it's fun, it's kinda haunting. Not my thing but I really appreciate art like this!
This album is such a vibe!
It's missing something that just hooks me for a repeat (such as 'Cats' or 'Mystery inc.') but I will play this album in Australian summer for sure! It's so chill!
Nothing new. I like Gracie, but this comes off like an echo of Taylor's stuff. Just with a more California indie pop vibe. In a world of Billies, Taylors, Chappelles, and Ethels; you gotta do more, something else. This needed to be big, but it comes off like a second place American idol contestants first release.
It's a bummer because I believe Gracie could do more. There is talent there.
I wanted to love this, but I feel like the straight up sexual references (not innuendos like previous songs had) are just what really ruin this album.
I think I'm spoiled by bands I love who mature with every album they make and I feel like max is forever 24. Not a compliment.
There is some great stuff in the first half, which then goes more chill. It's good, I just wish it had something more to it. I feel like bands release albums like this to sprinkle some slower calm stuff on setlists so they can rest between sets.
Lyrically and thematically is pretty good. Enjoyed it while it was raining and I read a book.
Okay so this is a solid LP.
Love it, it's great.
My one gripe, and it dumb, so chill, but when recording this album, and it came to recording, you know, the song that really grabbed people's attention, and they were like, "record it in lo-fi, make it sound like the worst one take track possible, fuck fake fans". I can't be the only people who heard the quality change. Which I get they should be seen for the merit of all their music (which is stellar) but that one track of given huge ... read more
I can't believe I slept on this.
Instant fan and love it so much!
I gotta invest in local artists way more!
