Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl

Who is this album made for bro 😭

Jane Remover - Indie rock
53

I don’t know what to say. It’s just not my thing. No disrespect to anyone who likes it I just can’t get into it. Maybe it’ll grow on me. But this doesn’t feel like she’s “entering a new genre” like a lot of people are claiming. this feels like she’s just doing what she did before but with less effort and it shows. Based off of her attitude lately it feels like she’s feels like she’s “too good for all this” or ... read more

Vylet Pony - Love & Ponystep
100

When Vylet said she thought this album was her best work I was doubtful because of how much I love Monarch of Monsters...

holy fuck what did I just listen to /pos
This album is a fucking journey to listen to filled with internal diolagues, emotional breakdowns, heartbreak, and finally acceptance
just man I did not expect how emotional this was going to be
me and my friends were literally all just sobbing at multiple points
The part that had to hit the hardest was the Ch: 3 intro track. It just ... read more

Jack Stauber - Micropop
79

This album for me is just a solid album
I love how just… strange every part of this album
Nothing feels right and some songs are super upbeat then BAM next song feels like ants under your skin
It’s just so interesting
Due to the nature of the album I can’t give this
any higher because it’s not super great on a playlist
(The extended ones are like 93 imo)

Quadeca - I Didn't Mean to Haunt You
100

This might be my new favorite album
everything this album brings to the table story-wise is just totally devistating (I cried durring every song)
this album makes me just think about
what would I have done
if the hook didnt bend the way it did and the rope didnt slip off
if the plan worked and I was forced to watch everyone struggle to move on without me
this album is a HEAVY reminder as to why im still here for me
to prevent the pain of others

Favorite Track: Tell me a Joke

Tiger Really - Swan Sting
89

I got this album on an album swap in a server I’m in and just based off of the description they gave I had high expectations and I somehow still managed to be blown away
This album changes the vibe a lot but throughout it all still works together as one cohesive album
Favorite song: Origami waste or Fundementally unlovable (94)
Least favorite song: again (81)

Ada Rook - UNKILLABLE ANGEL
78

Why does my brain have a heartbeat now?

When I started off this album I expected to hate it but as the album went on the better it got
I don’t know what else to say other then give this a fair chance and you might end up liking it
Favorite song: KNOW YOURSELF
Least favorite song: cortisol_ inside cortisol_explosion excessive_cortisol cortisol_everywhere

I "listened" to this album for the first time, a good while ago, but I didn't really give much thought into it
But last night I decided to listen to the album again because I couldn't sleep

This album is the most lonely album I have ever heard
This album feels like breaking down in a dark room late at night
like getting hung up on by 988
like all of your friends being busy on what you plan to be your last day alive
it's screaming into the void
everything in this album ... read more

Radiohead - OK Computer
97

This album is an atmospheric masterpiece from radiohead
Just everything about this album is able to portray the dystopian envirement they are trying to describe in the songs

glass beach - the first glass beach album
100

I know this album isn't perfect
but it means too much to me for it not to be a 100
This album completely redefined my music taste entirely
and as more time passed the more I became emotionally attached to this album
I enjoyed this album back in 2020 because of the cool indie rock sounds
and while that still is true
its so much more to me now as I grew up discovered things about myself and actually LISTENED to what J was saying and I started to resonate with what she was saying
In 2023 ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
97

My favorite rap album of 2024
and that says something because we had some amazing albums this year
This album feels like a celebration of Tyler's progression through his albums
I love all of Tyler's work but in every album, it seemed like he was trying to reinvent the wheel too much and push away from the albums prior
this album feels like a combination of all his previous works mixed in with new sounds that just work so well
Still a bit salty I got robbed of getting tour ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
98

When I listened to this album for the first time I was surprisingly not super attached to it
but as I listened more and more
the more I loved it
I don't think there is much to say about this album that hasn't been said before
Its complete fire
Favorite: Alright (100)
Least favorite: For Free? (74)

MGMT - Little Dark Age
93

A disturbing and ever present message hidden under layers of beautiful pop synth and psychedelic vocals

I decided to listen to this album after listening to the title track my little dark age and it did not disappoint

From what I can gather this album has a lot of strong themes of escapism and some mentions of suicide because of the state of the world

Either way it’s an amazing work and I’m definitely going to listen to more albums from this duo

Favorite track(s): My little ... read more

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
92

This album was my first time listening to Mac and just
Man
This is really good
From the intro I was hooked
The album has a really unique sound that I feel in love with
The lyrics here are also amazing
Even with knowing nothing about this man beforehand I feel like I can really understand the state he was in when he wrote this
Lots of lyrics talking about picking up drugs again (which would be the cause of his early death) and contemplating death and other similar topics
On first listen I ... read more

Cities Aviv - MAN PLAYS THE HORN
93

Otherworldly

I listened to this album for the first time on a late night car ride
The sound here is just unmatched
It’s a one of a kind listening experience
And I loved every second of this album

Cities Aviv - BLACK PLEASURE
97

Some of the best sample work I’ve seen on a rap project
Cities aviv’s flow and sound is just unmatched
He has put out many amazing projects since
But nothing will top this

Blue For You - Emotional Wallpaper
88

I found this guy on new-grounds by chance and have fallen in love with his music since
This album has a really nice and refined sound

Surf Curse - Magic Hour
82

I took a very big gamble by buying this on vinyl after only listening to a couple songs
I don’t regret it
This album is just full with the nice indie rock sound I love
And it doesn’t deviate from that too much but when it does like on fear city it pays off
I would love to see more experimental work from surf curse in the future like fear city
But I’m fine with what we got here

Surf Curse - Freaks
85

I think this single is a really good revisit to their old style from buds
I think it’s everything buds was trying to be

Surf Curse - Buds
73

It’s a solid album but for me nothing here really particularly sticks out
It all just feels very samey
But for what it is it’s good

On Doriangray's review of Sewerslvt - we had good times together, don't forget that
"I have never heard of this album before and this review has convinced me I need to listen to it. Been going through a lot and I always use media that has intense depiction of such problems as a way to cope, as a reminder of what it truly is outside of what my mind paints it to be."
On Phellyx's review of Vylet Pony - Monarch of Monsters
"True but I’m curious what the first one was For me it would be plastic death by glass beach but I’m assuming you have something different in mind"
