Reception by others seems to be mixed with this album, but this is my favorite so far of what Ive heard from Bruce. I really liked this album.

This is difficult to rate as I really like some songs here, but find others to be a bit lacking in comparison. I also find the drums to feel a bit jarring on songs like Walk In the Sun. Still a fun album.

I like this a lot more than the range albums.

Listened to this today again, and I appreciate it more than my first listen. I still feel some songs are boring but theres a good mix of great music here too. Barren Ground and Stander On the Mountain are my favorites.

Everything here is great aside from a sloppy Loser and edits made to Drums and Space. Great versions of Althea

Really cool album. Some of the spoken word segments run a little long, but the music makes up for it. This album has such a unique sound, and I mean that in a good way. Theres nothing that sounds like this.

great album. I feel many people jump straight to Beefeart's earlier albums, causing this gem to get overlooked. Equally as experimental as his earlier more famous albums. Definitely my favorite from him.
