many reviews on AOTY reduce Disjecta Membra to just the shorter b-sides of Nervous Young Man, but this album shows a side of will that i wish he showed more of beyond the NYM era.
the lyrics in this album are so brutal, you can feel the cold, anti-virtuous, pessimistic, world that will is living (surviving?) through.

wow greep... this is quite The New Sound. i'm attracted to how each track is glamorously-grotesque, yet so addictive. with each listen, i discover something new. something is magnetic about this album and greep's work, i can't wait for more.
"False Priest" is the love child of "Skeletal Lamping" and "Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?"
as with most OM albums, there are a few tracks that stand out in particular. there are good moments scattered throughout, and interesting psych-glam instances. however the overall feeling of the album seems a bit unfocused other than a theme of 'freaky-fantasy'.

this album is so dynamic and heart-wrenching and powerful and HEART-WRENCHING! the contrast between each of the tracks is both beautiful and tragic.
most of my time listening to Ants From Up There has been spent chewing over a specific lyric.... you can find a new lyric to ruminate over with each listen.
