my gateway into midwest emo (said everyone ever)
but on a real note, this album takes the energy and excitement found in emo/midwest emo music and adds a positive, optimistic, and comforting spin on it that just makes you feel like everything's going to be okay. every time i listen to this album, i feel like i'm wearing a propeller hat and holding a big lollipop in the best way possible
it's fine, worse than the original, still listenable though. just a bit of a headscratcher release but its cool to hear these songs a little differently + theres a few new songs
super solid project. loved a reasonable intro for this album, flight song, and picture day was pretty good, too.
forbidden confessions nearly brought me to tears, what a beautiful and weirdly nostalgic song
latter half is consistently pretty killer too. i sincerely enjoyed my time with this project and will come back to it quite often
really great b-sides, i got chills at the "...And I Can't Wait Forever" callback
my last review did not do this EP any justice whatsoever; one of the most beautiful things i have heard in quite some time. very raw and full of passion. thank you mt. jr
