Charles Hamilton - Well Isn't This Awkward...
97

still his best, most well-rounded project to date. truly don't understand how this isn't considered an album with the story it tells, charles hamilton is a groundbreaking producer and rapper.

Charles Hamilton - The Pink Lavalamp
65

what if i dragged out all of my banger songs to have unnecessarily long outros and turn what could have been an incredible, beautifully produced 45 minute album into 70 minutes

YUNG DECKK - Dust Reciever 2077 ☏⁺
10

i feel like aoty has a weird fixation on pointlessly long projects

YUNG DECKK - 是什么造就了我们
74

last track is incredibly peak

David Terry - Let's Get Away
75

muspelheim's grandfather just dropped a better album than jpegmafia and car seat headrest all in the same week.

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
74

head and 1st amendment are underrated ill say it

maudlin of the Well - Leaving Your Body Map
100

thanks for this rec it was fire

00Yume - absynoro
79

solid project, lowballing the other slushwave albums of 2026 is tragic behavior though 💔

Totojira - Shinigami Y
86

not terrible but i can't say i'm too sad this never dropped.

Xeno Ray JNB - Mono Modern
47

ik this may seem like a negative score but i just wanna say this was a lot better than i thought it would be, there's a lot of potential here

Nmesh & t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 - ロストエデンへのパス [The Path to Lost Eden]
38

really loved the telepath stuff but i wasn't huge on the nmesh stuff.

JPEGMAFIA - War Over Land
90

people genuinely just coming to hate atp this song was great

Xeno Ray JNB - Everything is Chrome: CHROME pack
15

okay i actually want to say something more productive here since i'm not a big hater of xeno or his style like others on this website, but i wasn't too huge on this. i'm not entirely sure what he's trying to say lyrically but xeno if you're reading this here's what you need to generally improve:

- production here just was not that good and i hate to say it. i think it's too wonky but i think there would be more potential if the beat changed with the chorus ... read more

Mikel Rouse - Dennis Cleveland
56

listened out of curiosity and wanting to listen to opera, and ended up pretty disappointed with the kind of uninspired sound it produced.

The Eastman Disciples - Just Breathe Into It
87

music unlike anything i have ever heard

t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 - アマテラス [Amaterasu]
90

one of telepath's best, should have more recognition.

Mighty Old Redwood - Eons
50

took me a few days to finish but it's alright.

2814 - 新しい日の誕生 [Birth of a New Day]
95

let's get a 4th album by 2027 and i won't take no for an answer

輕描淡寫 [Understatement] - 小圈子 [Small Circle]
34

i liked the opener but this isn't the immersive dreampunk i was hoping for, it feels kinda just like simple bandlab chords.

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU: DIRECTOR'S CUT
86

as decent as the production is i honestly think more people should have been annoyed by the whole ai thing

"@BruhBay1 I'm sorry I'm not trying to be contrarian but I really don't get the hype around that song. Maybe 30 is a bit dramatic as just a general reaction to the 98% I saw but there were some genuine bangers on this album that got overshadowed by that intro which didn't really deserve it in my opinion."

"@BM30 i swear this is not an attention span issue you can check my reviews on his other projects i'm definitely not a hamilton hater. i simply believe that the outros did a lot to detract from the songs and that the album could be cut to be much cleaner and more enjoyable."

"@thelovus do you know any virginia beach producers then? i think muspelheim and totojira are local. for me the biggest issue here is the production but the vocals have potential."

"hes been very careful on how he phrases it by saying "last TOTOJIRA album" so maybe he's cooking up something else on a new name that could be false hope though"
On Xeno Ray JNB - Everything is Chrome: CHROME pack
"@discsofwave I understand but for it to really be an EP it will need better sequencing IE track 1 and 4 together and tracks 2 and 3 listed as bonuses or something. I feel like calling this an EP and releasing it as such is a bit misleading but it doesn't really have anything to do with my score here."

"honestly gotta disagree but i like the review. this album CLEARS the self titled you have to consider how much more work it took for the guys to make this project compared to the other one which felt kind of lazy to be honest. i think this one's lengthy, atmospheric, post-rock sound was the right direction i just feel like the wrong people heard this album first. however, when it comes to the come on the christian fish trilogy, expedition 331-5a clears."

"@lilyth_ i honestly found them to be 0 worthy but i promise it wasn't in a review bomb fashion. for me they're pretty irredeemable to the album. for me that's how i review a lot of tracks though, i can love them or hate them to some extremities."
On desert sand feels warm at night - 我思う、ゆえに我あり [I Think, Therefore I Am]
"@lilyth_ yooo leave me alone i like it when muspelheim does it (uhoh! is an amazing track) i liked the first few tracks of desert's pyramid album, i liked the 12 minute one on new world disciples, and when telepath and 2814 do it it's dope. in this case i really felt like they messed with the sequencing and bloated the track list. sand has better albums."
