“It’s not my kind of thing but I can appreciate the artistry and instrumentation”
What was I thinking dude this is one of the most emotionally potent and raw albums Ive ever listened to. Anyway not the greatest start to the Cure career but it has some fun songs and a blueprint to the sound they would later develop
The artistic evolution of Quadeca needs to be studied, how do you go from youtube rapper dissing KSI to this?
First Impressions: I love how far Quad’s sound leans into Art Pop with these lush orchestral pieces, string harmonies and flute melodies that I loved in Scrapyard, but still maintains his roots in Hip-Hop with great performances in The Great Bakunawa (which Danny Brown was great on), That’s Why and more. Why are people surprised that hes dropping so soon when his name is tyler the creator!
I like when tyler does more melodic and upbeat tracks and i think those are what he does best, and this little project delivered with what i wanted with tracks like Sucka Free and I’ll Take Care of You. At the same time the more moody rap focused tracks had a lot of personality and funny punchlines.
