5 year wait definitely not worth it
30 songs and i think 5 of them hold up, 1 of them is a uzi interlude and the others i either cant bare to listen to cartis verse, or it was already released prior to coming out.
i see people complain about the snare breaks throughout the album, but not swamp izzo literally ruining a whole song while carti is spewing out bullshit
"BACK IN DA DAY(hUh) WE USE 2 PLAY(hUh) NOW WE SO OLDAAH, MY BITCHES SO OLDAAH, drivin da cold blow"

WAIT FOR THE ANSWER TO OPEN THE DOOR!
NONAGON INFINITY OPENS THE DOOR!
I'm In Your Mind Fuzz's brother, and the technical start of the GizzVerse. If IIYMF is your first taste of gizz, immediately come to this album and you wont be disappointed. even songs that dont belong there like Mr Beat or Invisible Face are bangers (not gonna talk about Wah Wah at all..).
also love how the whole Gizz team loves to reference People-Vultures throughout their discography
as a first taste of gizz for me, this album makes their name known.
it immediately gets your attention by the first track with that trippy guitar, 2 hard hitting drums, and a sick ass bassline. and before you even know it your at the end of track 2,
Cellophane makes you feel like you had just escaped a segment of your trip just to be pulled back in by that distorted vocalization with the guitar backing it up,
then your back at the start, but its different!
Empty truly makes you feel like your ... read more
on first listen when this album released i said "this kendricks least thoughtout work"
after 5th listen i realized this is a present day good kid, m.a.a.d city
a documentation of kendricks absence and how he's battling his demons
the therapist and wife narrating the album can speak more than the song when you realize the message.
Moral Of The Story: Listen To The Album And Stop Comparing Works.
kendrick lamar documents his life and the lifestyle of compton via music and its beautiful
a literal movie in audio form.
it still amazes me he did this on a MPC3000 and SP-303 on his death bed, and released 3 days before his death.
this screams more than art when you realize all the subliminals throughout the album.
and that reverse tracklist just gives it more life especially at the end.
this is dillas tribute album, to himself
what a cryptic and weird album;
after retiring from youtube in 2017 for "throat tissue damage", this is amazing singing, what a fucking healing process
the starting track pulls you in with that LoFi piano and beat, then blasts you with distortion and bass, then into goes into HQ, then SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK starts playing. songs like WANTED U and YEAH RIGHT make you feel the same somber joji is feeling with that fucking LoFi beat. CANT GET OVER YOU features one of clams casinos ... read more
you know when your mom is listening to basically Sad Filthy Frank its kind of weird
this album is, messy; but its all fixed with many "bangers" and the greatest singing ive heard from someone who smoked cigs, the features do their justice (diplo with that amazing production on Daylight, Lil Yachty's verse on Pretty Boy, and obviously Omar Apollos verse on High Hopes), and after all the ups and downs the last track makes you feel like you've transported back to 2014 Calvin ... read more
Oh Roger! Silly You Capturing The Mental Episodes Of Many Adult And Teenage Men!
i listened to this at the start of my music-taste transition (mainly hip-hop back to prog/psych-rock)
my boy Anthony sparked it because he started playing Something - The Beatles in an alternative highschool with mainly plugs and stoners.
i listen to this now after anthonys passing and sit here and wonder "how did roger waters capture that pain in music form"
a beautifully orchestrated album that should be listened by all generations, thank you roger.
ok will what is this tracklist and what do you mean i have to listen 3 versions of the album to experience it
still a good album when you have a track like Hymn (Remix) come before Martin you kind of cant take it serous
"A 2 Hour Album Of Sad Songs? What Could Possibly Happen?" - me, circa 2022, age 14
amazing album with a messy yet still organized tracklist
theres something about this album that sticks out from the rest of will's discography its difficult to even explain it
its not the HQ vocals and instruments, its the obvious maturity when will made this album
listening to this for the first time in 7th grade and letting it form me throughout 8th-9th grade is a feeling that can never be recreated
thank you will for not channeling your inner furry, but your inner 70s rock.
listened because of the dog
stayed because of track 2
damage irreversible
greatest emo-lofi album that ever graced this earth
thank you bummed doggy
