Enough strong songs here to outweigh the literal garbage. (sorry Slim Pickins)
Juno is very very good.
Hearing A Song For Lonely People made me feel so incredibly nostalgic, genuinely never felt that sort of feeling before.
I think this is the most incoherent Porter has ever been, but it somehow comes together wonderfully. I think it’s his weakest album, but there’s a ton of highlights. Year of the Cup and Is There Really No Happiness? are genuinely beautiful.
Edit: Porter cooked so fucking hard oh my fucking god. The Nurture vocals on Easier To Love You genuinely made me emotional. Thanks Protein Ribosome.
