I've been told about this thing on AOTY for a while now, like seeing it on everybody's 100s and all. At the same time I was in search of a huge album to get my hands on, like a big experience. The stars aligned on Deathconsciousness, and holy fucking shit it was worth the ride, BECAUSE WHAT A RIDE THIS WAS.

The sheer crumbling of the human spirit, its moral and its sole will transcribed through this record is at the most jaw dropping, toe curling, gut wrenching it gets. How the fff is this ... read more

Koraii - The Cable Cult
88

It's been 2-3 years since I first listened to this record but I never got to truly wrap my feels about it, so now's the day.

Well first, THIS FCKN ROCKS. The Cable Cult switches from super energetic glitch-pop bops to darker, lengthy industrial tracks. The two work together so well, even the interludes got me going aaahhhahhaazhdhaiz. The atmosphere in here is immaculate and Koraii definitely has this unique sound palette that you're never gonna hear elsewhere.

Candy Claws - Two Airships / Exploder Falls

A very noisy shoegaze sound yet the vibes are immaculate. Very unique thing. Gets quite goofy at the end it was giving spellcasting amirite

Can't get over how fucking goofy this is, like how do you make a song about frogs and getting your teeth removed and still sound this good
you gec people annoy me fr

KikuoHana - 第一幕 [First Act]
89

Very surprised from this record. I had only listen to a few Kikuo tracks before and was really digging his style. With Hana, they craft such a glorious and beautiful musical palette. The album is extremely rich of interesting ideas and GAH DAYUM HANA THAT VOICE !! Like I legit thought there were 2 singers, guess what she's just so good omg.

Lingua Ignota - ALL BITCHES DIE
93

This was terrifying in every way possible, and it was fucking amazing.

Kristin is so raw with her vocals and her lyrics my heart skipped a few beats throughout the listen. Power electronics production did not help on that lol.
The narration is perfect in what it is trying to do, I have no fear into saying this may be the most heavy, loud, and chilling record I've ever heard yet to this day. Beautiful execution from Lingua Ignota, looking forward to discover her other works.

Jack Conte - VS4

I genuinely can't say this is bad music, cause it's not. Like I feel how someone put efforts into this project and what were they trying to shape.
And still it just feels so blank. Aboslutely nothing on this record stands out from the other tracks.
A plain and somehow boring album despite more energy in the second half that could have changed my review if it went just a little further.

glass beach - the first glass beach album

SWEET GOLLY GOSH THIS GOT ME NODDING MY HEAD VERY HARD

This whole thing feels like a fever dream, it's aggressive yet sweet, both alarming and heartwarming. Powerful vocals mixed with crazy ass guitar riffs got me actin wild. So so so powerful and joyful, loved the ride. [MAY GROW ON ME WOOPS]

glass beach is a big blasting bop (yes i will listen to plastic death soon)

Ptite Soeur - NOUVELLE ⸎ ECONOMIE

1 or 2 tracks remain forgettable but the whole package is divine

Fucking pioneers on modern hyperpop. SOPHIE's legacy is living no doubt.
The album has its consistencies tho, I feel like I'll forget it quickly
