I get that they are trying to churn out playlist material to fit that pop punk vibe, and they do an amazing job of it - but it's just getting repetitive. They have making slight departations from the sound they usually put out (i.e. Madeline in GK3), but not nearly enough. Listening to the entire EP should yield greater emotion than listening to each of its parts separately, and that can only be accomplished through variation. Seriously, every time I listen to this album, there is nothing I want more than a physical copy of it. I am dying because I couldn't snag a copy at the concert I went to.
Peak psychedelic rock.
This LP is such a pleasant, diverse jumgle of psychedelic music. There is so much good to say about this gem.
It sounds like People Taking pictures pulled the background music out of the abstract realm of a fever dream - it existed there in the background, inexplicably comforting, and was brought into the tangible world for us to enjoy.
The lyrics also touch on a lot of existential themes, which I absolutely love. I wish more music existed like this.
