SPLIT

after being incredibly impressed with corefish's newest album, i decided to check out the rest of the discog. and i wasnt disappointed! this is a very solid album. although the production isnt quite as outstanding as their other album, it is still pretty great. the songwriting is good, especially on 'sediment', and the melodies are incredibly catchy. the middle few songs of this album are some of the best pop songs ive ever heard. although im not the biggest fan of the occasional pitched down vocals, they go by quick and they do serve a purpose. there are a few parts on this project that resemble early quadeca or jon bellion, so i think that is really cool. overall its an awesome listen, and its definitely worth a shot, especially if you like their newest album. corefish is easily one of my favorite pop artists of the last few years!

as i listen to this album more, i think that i may even prefer this over their newest project!
