“you can f*ckin drop a record whenever the f*ck you want” -Charley

I was kinda expecting this, but i didn’t really know what to expect sound wise. Charley gave a huge middle finger to his past record label dropping this album and went ahead and dropped this under his own record label. This one reminds me of Bill Withers but if he made outlaw country. Dude this sound is sooo good. You’ve got all of Charley’s past sounds built into one and it’s perfect, it’s very outlaw country, bluesy, funky, rock, he’s perfected another sound once again first try. who the hell is putting out more music than charley mfing crockett? if he don’t win a grammy this year i’ll lose it. releasing a album completly payed for and released by himself at the popularity he’s reached is not normal, and that’s how legends are made. Good ol charley’s back and i hope he don’t leave, that record label was holding him back, and even then, man the music was still fantastic. It took me a while to really see the story charley was telling throughout all these songs, and since then, this album is coming near perfect for me, i just really need this album to come back to streaming man, im tired of illegally streaming clovis. but yeah, as soon as charley left island records he just got on a whole nother level quick with clovis. it’s diverse in sounds which a lot of modern country artists aren’t able to do anymore, same with songwriting. i just love the aesthetic on this album so much, it’s got to be my favorite, it’s so authentic, hopefully when it re releases we’ll get visuals and whatnot, that’ll just add onto how damn cool this album is.
