Dude. This made me sad??? I'll do a proper review when I listen to it again and it's not 1am. But besides the fact it's on the shorter side, this is a really strong first album. Obviously it's not a perfect album and this is an incredibly biased review as I grew up listening to 5 Seconds of Summer, but it still surprised and entertained me.

This was a really interesting project to review. I both loved and hated it, but it ultimately boiled down to this. To preface things, I think Sleep Token are a really cool band and they absolutely do not deserve the hate that they're given. Like any good band, they bend the genres they create with and that always leaves someone upset. It's projects like this one that I can see causing ... read more

Considering this was Deftones first album, the potential they shared through this one work is unremarkable. Through the fantastic juxtaposition between the soft, seductive vocals to fierce and aggressive screams, Chino Moreno puts on an incredible performance. This becomes a Deftones staple, and one that millions, like myself, easy recognize and adore. The record is catchy, bass heavy and angry. I would find myself easily grooving ... read more

I am so incredibly biased when it comes to this album. I've loved it for years and it is truly one of my absolute favourites, so keep that in mind when I delve into specifics.

With that being said, my love for this album truly stems from it's creativity and cabaret aesthetic. I don't know any other album that creates such an atmosphere based around an aesthetic so well. The ... read more

I wasn't expecting to hear so much punk influence in this project, but it ended up being a really nice touch to the overall EP. I enjoyed the energy it brought as well as the fantastic instrumentals. I was personally a big fan of Orestes Delatorre's drumming throughout the entirety of the work. The vocals themselves, while not mixed very well considering they were fairly quiet on every song, were rough and ... read more
