Pretty good, just not too memorable to me. A few standout moments, but a lot of it blended together for me. That being said, still very enjoyable.
I'll admit, I was a bit worried going into this. FUKOUNA GIRL and BAMBI were tracks I had listened to a lot in months prior, and while I liked them, they felt like they lacked the aspects of emo I loved in a lot of her earlier work(she was actually my first introduction to proper emo, I found out about bands like Weatherday and WillyRodriguez from spotify recs while listening to her). Paper Dolls helped slightly, but I was still worried.
Thankfully, this album had enough of it that I feel ... read more
i just now finished properly listening to the album as a whole for the first time. oh my god this was amazing, almost wetdream level for me
Slightly worse than the first album, but just barely. The lows are a lot lower, but the quality of the other ones tends to be higher than the average of the first. Tragedy is on the same level of Our Story and all you can hope for now are the scars to show for it!!! for me
Its got some dull points, but makes up for them and more with the stronger points. Mint and Koala are amazing
Probably top 5 stummy songs for me, kinda feels like if Folie a Deux was on Sophomore Slump Callithump and it's very well done.
Fuck, I forgot how good this album is. This is just really damn good, probably my favorite record to come out of the MCR crew, including MCR itself. Originally didn't care for Miss Me, but it really won me over honestly.
Favorite song: 9-6-15 AND Dear Percocet, both are 95s for me
Being so fr when I say I prefer this to wetdream. Same rating because wetdream is admittedly much more artistic and acceptable, as well as not having as edgy lyrics, but honestly all of these "faults" make me love this album more. Third favorite noise pop album I've heard after Weatherday's albums
You either get some of the best ballads MCR made, some really good energy songs, or some shit that sounds like it could've been from a Disney channel original
Weird as hell. Has some of my favorite MCR tracks, but also some of the absolute worst. SING is so unbelievably boring for 99% of it, like holy shit. Dismissing the radio interludes, the album ends ABSURDLY strong, and starts fairly strong as well, but SING just throws it off so much for me
Favorite track: Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back
And FUCK SING all my homies hate sing
Amazing, but overhyped. Is there a single track I actively dislike? No. Are there tracks that I vastly prefer others to? Absolutely. The album starts strong, dies off some, comes back swinging, and ends with some of the weakest tracks on the album.
Favorite track: Mama
MCR at their peak imo
This album is the perfect middle ground between the raw aggression of Bullets and the theatrical and refined sound to Black Parade. But most importantly to me, it can get VERY noisy, and most of what I listen to is noise pop, so I fw it. Main issue is that I feel the second half is considerably stronger than the first, but both are excellent
Favorite track: Thank You For the Venom
Welp, MCR hyperfixation is mostly over so I can give their stuff a review that isn't blindly 100
Bullets is raw. If there's one thing going for the album, it would be that. Gerard's vocals are noticeably less refined than future projects, but I like it more on some tracks honestly. There's some weird parts, but the album has a lot of highs and not really many noteworthy lows.
Favorite track: Demolition Lovers
My first emo noise pop album I listened to, and it's an amazing one. Not a single bad track on it, and the overall sound is so pleasing to my adhd ass brain.
Favorite tracks: all you can hope for now are the scars to show for it!!! and Our Story
Beautiful ass album, devastating lyrics and a shit ton of noise. Wetdream is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard, and everything else is either beautiful, loud as fuck, or both.
Edit: forgot how good revisited is
95--->100
Favorite tracks: revisited, wetdream
Yeah, Sputnik always hits, this is a goated album and set us up for Hornet Disaster, which is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. A bit messy at time and some tracks can get a bit slow for my taste, but it's damn good at the end of the day.
Favorite track: Cut Lips
Sputnik can NOT miss
Amazingly emotional project, as per usual from Sputnik, with easily the best production we've seen from them, as well as songwriting. The sound is just all around amazing, whether it be the noisier tracks like Meanie, or the absolute beautiful sound from tracks like Aldehydes. This is the closest I've ever heard to a perfect album, and probably just about the closest possible to such in my opinion
