South Korean Jambinai's first album is an overwhelming, striking of a record, with it introducing the amazing band to the world. Aside from a few very sinister and off-putting moments, their debut is much more soundpainting-oriented than their second work, A Hermitage. While the trio offers this really beautiful blend of traditional South-Korean folk-music, it is the impressive sensibility of their playing (and songwriting, as well) that trully stands out, as we get this otherworldly, too-beautiful-for-words piece of work that never feels outdated, but timeless instead.
