Good EP, though not as iconic as Chaser imo. High energy and it feels like it's going through my skull, enjoyable.

REVIEW OF A CULT CLASSIC!

Thank you to the random YouTuber who gave me the knowledge of this oddities' existence.

SIDE A:

The first song, The Road to Freedom, is actually decently catchy. Makes me think of something that would play during an 80s B-movie, which is something I appreciate. The synths and even the singing is pretty decent.

The Worried Being is a bit polarizing to me. The instrumental is actually pretty good. 80s sax solos almost never miss to be honest. The vocals can be a ... read more

A friend from Discord recommended this album to me!
They have a nice sound, I think that it's well-produced, and I'd like to see more from the band.
Catchiest song imo was probably the internet or lizards.

This was an album my friend recommended me... a while back, I can't remember. I've heard Rap Knishes as well as One Beer, but those were the only two songs I had heard. Yesterday I finally decided to give it a shot!

I've gotta say, I'm not the most in-the-know about rap music, but I really enjoyed this one! The first song really surprised me because it sampled a song used in the old Spider Man and Friends TV show I used to LOVE watching. Brings back some good memories ... read more

ALBUM SWAP WITH MY BUDDY @Quitemaybeafrog !

I'm listening to this album, and in return he's listening to and rating Constant Companions (one of my personal favorites.)

First let me say, I enjoyed it! I thought his singing was really nice, and I thought the instrumentals were well-made as well. My current rating might be considered a little low by many, but it'll probably go up upon further relistens.

The titular track, What's Going On, is really good. Probably my favorite ... read more

THIS ALBUM!! Oo wee sit down a little while I go positively rant about how much I love it. I'm also probably going to be updating this review over time with new insight and opinions as I re-listen to it over and over again. I feel like I've gotta listen to it again to give an adequate review of the lyrics.

I've listened to many of the songs on this album before I've ever listened to it in its entirety. In fact, Machine Love was how I came to love Jamie's music, and ... read more

VERY excellent album!

Continuing with my overused analogy of old video games, this would be comparable to the early 90s era of NES games. The SNES had newly released, but many people still had an NES so developers continued to produce games for the console. Around this time are some of the most well-made NES games being produced because developers had basically perfected their engine and understanding of the NES hardware and game design mechanics. This album would be equivalent in my eyes to ... read more

After listening to Thirsty I physically could not finish the rest of this album.

I don't know how you can be so experimental and also so bland at the exact same time. This album is the equivalent of pizza microwaved a week later.

Playing Russian Roulette is probably more fun than this album, because at least that's unpredictable.

I found this album years ago because a YouTuber who made videos on China used to use Shyness Boy as his intro, and it just sounded so hype to me I had to track it down. I decided it was so good that I'd listen to the whole album, and I was introduced to one of my absolute favorite albums ever. Every song on this album SOUNDS like summer, or tears! Or both at the same time! This album is absolute joy. All of the songs are so catchy, the melodies are excellent, and the production is so ... read more

This album is where Jamie Paige really begins to shine! To me, this album feels like the skill behind the creative intention shown in the previous album has finally been refined a lot more into the sound that Jamie intended.

If I was to use another video game analogy, I would say this album is equivalent to the NES games from the latter years of the 80s when developers got more of a hang of the console and its capabilities and started doing more with it. This album is the Super Mario Bros. 3 ... read more

MY FAVORITE VOCALOID PRODUCER MADE A COVER OF ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS AND I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT IT???

This is a great cover! I love it because it's unique enough from the original, (arranged in Jamie's Paige's usual style) that it feels like it's own thing.

This album makes me feel inspired!
As the first album of one of my favorite musicians, I love seeing the evolution of Jamie's music. This album is rough around the edges and extremely charming. You can really hear the seeds of Jamie's musical style already sprouting up in its earliest form. To me this album really shows how consistent practice over a long period of time will yield amazing results, and as an amateur musician myself who's only had somewhat inconsistent progress, I ... read more
