This is like if Kendrick just added the Untitled Unmastered tracks on the TPAB tracklist, album structure-wise. Decent quality songs that simply don't match eachother. Feels more like Kanye derusting rather than a fullfletched product. Hope the next masters fix the current problems, this could be a very satisfying project in the end.
Too abrasive for me to process anything worthy of more than a 7. Love the intense vibes but not for 21 tracks straight. Still quality tracks tho. Imo, not the best idea for a debut album, this feels like more of a mixtape than his actual latest releases.
Fun, light project that was clearly not made to be the next 36 Chambers. Focused on vibes over lyricism or deep meaning, very nice display of each rapper, and featuring the leader Denzel Curry on every track was a wise decision to keep it concise. Honestly a little too short for my taste, wanted to hear more from them. Really liked the performances from TiaCorine and BKTHERULA, aswell as the features throughout the brief-spanned tracklist.
I originally rated this a 65. After some re-evaluation, this is a very solid effort, yet tarnished by the pressure to apply to the masses. Amazing tracks buried upon bloat, some of Carti's best ideas all thrown in the wall, trying to see what sticks. In a way, MUSIC feels like an experiment for a future project such as the highly expected BABYBOI.
