For how influential and incredible this album is, it doesn’t get enough praise and should be regarded as one of the best hip hop albums ever.
This album was not made to be heavily interpreted or overly analysed, it was made because it was fun to make and fun to listen too.
Its just 48 mins of the grooviest bass lines, the snappiest guitar lines, and incredible vocals. despite that however you can feel zenders absence from the band, and it doesn't necessarily do anything new for the band but nobody is gonna care about that when rolling on molly at a party.
I can see why this is did more for him than illmatic
this is such a consistently great album, theres not a point in the tracklist where i think it falters and gets boring. the producting is so crisp and smooth and the mixing on the drums, ESPECIALLY on things are getting better, is some df the best ive heard period.
he def overreacted and is MOSTLY at fault but i get his frustration with getting shit on for something that released only hours ago. posting that shit to your insta story is a bit corny and weird.
