Knowing the context of when he was working on this album, knowing his mom passed away, and eventually his first wife cheated on him. It’s a more somber work with some good bops mixed with uppers and downers.

All the tracks are in the same-sounding, repetitive pop format that never pauses for the listener to contemplate what is being conveyed. This is because the lyrics are so shallow. If the songs did have space in between lines then the listener would realize how dull everything really is. Not to mention the industry is objectifying another beautiful sounding singer who would feel more fulfilled if she compromised money for quality music and staying true to herself.

Most of the musical composition is enjoyable and has many moving parts. I didn’t enjoy the lyrical structure and how nearly every song was just a grown man struggling with his sexual identity. I do look forward to hearing whatever future project Weisenfeld releases since I like his musical composition.

Blu DeTiger - All I Ever Want Is Everything

In comparison to previous releases, Blu’s style in this album is more mainstream in sound. I had expectations of hearing some bass solos and more alternative/indie rock style jams but they weren’t prevalent. The creative instrumentation and sound production helped balance the poor lyrical ideas and lack of expression with said lyrics and overall feel of the tracks.
