The first Baths album in eight years is a pained triumph, drowning in uncertainty and desire and swelling with incredible compositions.
Baths’ Gut is a potent record, all the better for the tension it leaves unresolved. Musically, these are some of Will Wiesenfeld’s warmest, most inviting songs.

I'm sorry if this is a sign of burnout, but this album sounds like someone who just bought 1000 cases of la croix and thought they changed the landscape of the environment. The politics and stuff I can understand, the lyrics do have some commentary on the modern world and LGBTQ which is pretty nice. 'Gut' is one of the most unique listens I had in a long time.
