Originally I hadn't given it enough credit. so many intense moments. really beautiful textures. last track is amazing
I feel that No Name No. 5 is a track that could have been left off this album. Every other track is a 10/10.
Seeking Darkness continues to prove that Parannoul is unbelievably diverse. The bass guitar riff in Seeking Darkness Part 1 is unreal. It's pretty insane how he can do both shoegaze and post-rock so well with majorly MIDI instruments.
Parliament-Funkadelic at their peak. While it's less tapped into the absurdness and energy of other projects such as Mothership Connection, it's immensely psychedelic and a beautiful blend of genres.
Without Maggot Brain, there would be no Outkast.
The definitive "lo-fi" album. Duster created a timeless sound on this record which is cheaply and consistently imitated even today.
For lack of better words, this album feels lonely. Things continue to change around you. It feels like constantly hanging on.
Following Stratosphere, Contemporary Movement is a step towards a darker, sludgier and grittier sound. Auto-Mobile is the perfect closing track.
However, compared to their first record, this one falls just slightly shorter in consistency.
Beautiful avant-folk. Was really surprised with how good it was.
Encapsulates the beauty of ordinary living
