Mk.gee - Two Star & The Dream Police
81

Okay I get it now.

I was a huge fan of the first EP when it came out, so I was excited to check this album out. Didn't like on first listen but this album is definitely a grower.

Eminem - The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)
42

This would easily be the best Tom McDonald album.

Clairo - Charm
84

Clairo's familiar, soft vocals maybe not be much of a risk for album #3, but the instrumentals just feels so bright and refreshing that it puts her signature style in a new context.

Playboi Carti - Die Lit
95

JUST TO LOOK LIKE THIS IT TOOK A LONG TIME

MXXWLL - Sheeesh
69

In the summer of 2021, I remember putting on this mixtape all the time. I would roll the windows down in my car and cruise on a beautiful day. This was a perfect mood setter. Returning to Sheeesh brought back lots of those memories, but also reminded me of his unique, funky sound. MXXWLL is such a talented producer, and this album has so many great ideas, but a lot of them are unfinished concepts. 4 years since the release of Sheeesh, MXXWLL has yet to release another full body of work. Kaizo Slumber - The Kaizo Manifesto
58

It serves it purpose. Fun to play on my shitty car speakers.

Concrete Boys - It's Us Vol. 1
68

So much potential here. Production is pretty solid, I just think the consistently enjoyable performances are only coming from Yachty and Karrahbooo.

Favorite tracks- NOT DA 2, WHERE YO DADDY?, ON THE RADAR CONCRETE CYPHER (8/10s)

Least favorite- Pink and Blue (3/10)

Dave Blunts - Well Dude Here's My Thing
75

Unintentionally hilarious. Some tracks get repetitive but the concept is awesome. I have so many questions...

Catpack - Catpack
70

Not the biggest fan of the vocals or songwriting, but it's still solid. instrumentals are what make this album for me. I love Jacob Mann.

Kiefer - Something For Real
87

one of the best live albums i've heard in a while. maybe of the 2020s. super duper tight. First time hearing of Luke Titus, dude has chops

Hiatus Kaiyote - Love Heart Cheat Code
92

Pure bliss. Also I love quintuplets.

Robert Glasper - Let Go
80

Ambient Robert glasper? Yeah this is based

Kamasi Washington - Fearless Movement
95

Most of what I would say about this album has already been said. But I’ll say that seeing this in concert was one of the greatest experience of my life. Kamasi is a genius, but also so down to earth.

Dana and Alden - Coyote, You're My Star
90

This LP adds to their collection of feel-good jazz-pop jams and shows off their improved songwriting and production chops.
Fav tracks- Coyote you’re my star, you can do anything, family garden, popular front, return of the coyote
