In retrospect, I have to say that this is currently my second favorite album from them. It is definitely more mature, certainly more mainstream musically. After their success in 1997 after the release of Sehnsucht, it is clearly visible that they wanted radio stations to play this album, as it contains five singles. The arrangements are more complex; we are not dealing here only with sharp guitars, drums, and keyboards, but also with, for example, a cello. The album has a gloomy atmosphere, especially towards the end of the album Spieluchr, Nebel- I read a book about them in which they wrote that they recorded in a house that had been abandoned by a deceased couple a few months earlier, which is why the atmosphere of the album is what it is.
