This album has 3 songs that I really like. They are "Somewhere Between" (written by Merle Haggard), "Cross My Broken Heart" & "My Sweet Love Ain't Around (written by Hank Williams Sr.). I don't like the rest of the album.
I love Sisters. This group harmonizes so beautifully. But I don't like the style of music that's on this album. This is definitely my least favorite Sisters album.
I love this song so much! This is the only song I really enjoy from Lauren Daigle's "Look Up Child" album, but what a song it is! The lyrics are powerful and it's a very soulful song. Lauren Daigle absolutely nails the vocal! I will rate it 100 as soon as I rate enough releases that I don't like so the spam bot will un-deweight me.
This album has one great track that I absolutely love and that's "Still Rolling Stones". I just don't care much for the rest of it.
The daughter of Henry Mancini is one of my favorite vocalists, but I just don't care for most of the songs here. I much prefer her self-titled album of her dad's songs (Now that's beautiful music!). I really tried to give this album a chance because I love Monica's voice so much, but this was a really disappointing album for me. Unfortunately, it was also her last album. I keep wondering why she hasn't released an album since 2010. But then again, another of my favorite vocalists, Jules Day, ... read more
This is a covers album. There are only a few tracks that I like. For the most part I think the song selection is very poor. For example, "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" & "What's Love Got to Do with It" are here. I hate both of those songs and can't imagine why anyone would want to cover them.
I really like the duet with Freddie Jackson, "I Do". It's a beautiful wedding song. I don't care much for the rest of the album.
This song is nothing special musically, but I think it's hilarious. Especially when you watch the video on YouTube.
"You can eat crackers in my bed anytime." Wow. Such deep and touching lyrics.
Good singer. Horrible message!
They let you know by their title that this is satanic and I hate the sound of their music anyway.
My mother and I saw Buster Poindexter perform this on Saturday Night Live years ago. He was acting so goofy during the performance that we thought this was a song that was written just for a comedy routine on SNL. It was only later that we found out this was a real song. We had a good laugh over that.
I hate the lyrics of this song. Especially the line "How could something so wrong be so right?". Answer: It's not. Something wrong is never right.
This is another one of those beautiful songs that make me miss songs like this. You just don't hear beautiful ballads like this in today's music. I really miss them.
I've never liked Jobim's singing voice, but he was a fabulous composer! This is an all instrumental Jobim album and I love it. One of my favorite instrumental albums.
