The Collingsworth Family - The Answer

Beautiful family harmonies and some great songs!

Tate Emmons - Means Something to Me
85

I love this album! This is an album of very enjoyable songs. Tate Emmons is a very talented 13-year-old artist. He may only be thirteen, but he's a very good vocalist (IMO) and he also wrote or co-wrote 6 of the 10 songs on this album. This album was a very pleasant surprise for me and a great way to start off 2024, musically. I just didn't expect a 13-year-old to be this good. While I enjoy all the songs on this album, my favorite tracks are "Temptations", "The Original ... read more

Mark Bishop - I Met Somebody on the Way to the Cemetery

Great song! My number 4 most listened to song of 2023 on Spotify Wrapped.

Lauren, Amber & Kenna - Prove 'Em Wrong
75

This is the third single from the new group Lauren, Amber & Kenna (Lauren Talley, Amber Eppinette Sanders, & Kenna Turner West). Amber Eppinette Sanders sings lead on this one. Amber is great vocalist, but Lauren is my favorite. So, I wish Lauren would have sung lead on this one (and every one), but Amber is still great and I enjoy the song. It's interesting to see Lauren back in a group again (in addition to her solo career) after The Talleys retired in 2020. I can't wait until the ... read more

Frank Stallone - Soft and Low

Sylvester Stallone's brother is a very good crooner. I really enjoy this album of standards.

Johannes Linstead - Firefly

Johannes is a truly amazing guitarist and I love his mix of international styles, Spanish guitar with Afro-Cuban, Middle Eastern, Latin American and tropical. A genre is hard to classify for him. Some classify him as New Flamenco or World. However you classify him genre wise, he's an incredibly talented guitarist.

Champaign - How 'Bout Us (Expanded Edition)
NR

The title track is the only track that appeals to me, but it's a classic track. It's a beautiful, timeless song that still sounds as great today as it did over 42 years ago when it was released. I miss beautiful songs like this. They just don't make songs like this anymore. I've been listening to it a lot lately. Today's music can't compare.

Joseph Habedank - Tell the Devil

This is my current obsession. I absolutely love it!

Gordon Mote - Where You Lead Me
85

I am not disappointed with this at all. I'm really enjoying it and it's definitely one of my favorite albums of 2023 so far.

William Bell - One Day Closer To Home
80

This soul legend is 83 years old now and he can still sing. I like this one a lot.

The Wilbanks - My Name Is Victory
NR

I absolutely love the title cut but I don't care much for the rest of the album.

Reba McEntire - Sing it Now: Songs of Faith & Hope
80

I have the deluxe version. I like it a lot.

Mandy Barnett - I've Got a Right to Cry
80

Definitely one of the best country singers! My favorite track is "I've Got a Right to Cry".

Eagles - Hotel California

Very creepy. I hate it.

LeAnn Rimes - CHANT: The Human & The Holy
NR

An album of new age chants is definitely not for me. I can't imagine what she was thinking when she decided to make this career move. It was the great country song "Blue" that made her famous. I wish she would get back to that style of music. Why she decided to go new age is a mystery to me.

Aaron Neville - I Know I've Been Changed
85

This gospel album is my favorite Aaron Neville album.

Joel Evans & Friends - Cocktail Combo
NR

This album has 10 vocal tracks and then 10 instrumentals of the same songs. I personally like the instrumental versions of the songs the best.

Monica Mancini - Monica Mancini
100

Beautiful Henry Mancini tunes sung beautifully by his daughter, Monica.
