Feng - What The Feng

incredible, very eager to see him expand on what he's already got going on

Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer

hands down some of the most fun and exciting edm ive heard in years this blends everything i love about electronic music and it does so in such a tasteful and personal way i keep going back to this it's incredible

Lucy Bedroque - Unmusique

some of the most interesting sounds coming out of the underground at the moment, gives me some hope for the future, keep being creative and keep pushing boundaries

Title Fight - Shed

this shit is beautiful i just want to drive far away on a huge hill with some friends and scream as loud as i can everything that i have on my chest

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl

jesus christ man...
i was actually somewhat excited for this as someone had finally put down Jack Antanoff and i wanted to see what Max Martin could do with this record but wow.. it's a shallow, empty, tasteless sloppy attempt at doing what she did 10 years ago and it just sounds 10 times worse.
for the record i think 1989 is an incredible pop record and i really cherish it deeply, but this felt like feeding it through 8 different AIs and blending it with royalty free samples as the cherry ... read more

very good, might enjoy it even more with time but right now i still consider 3D Country a bit better

i'll do a proper review when im in a headspace where i can absorb this album better.. i feel like it's just not the right moment yet

Ethel Cain - Preacher's Daughter
92

there's a lot to say about this record (and a lot of it is very good) so i'll keep it concise.
Preacher's Daughter is an album that shines through different aspects but if i had to pick 2 it would be it's authenticity and its versatility. it manages to be brutally her, even in its rawest details, Preacher's Daughter is Hayden, it's vulnerable, making it almost uncomfortable to listen to (and that's the point). By that measure, it's a record that hit very ... read more

gorgeous record i cried to Rope

Benson Boone - American Heart
11

alternating between the worst piano ballads you've ever heard and the cheesiest most uninspired attempt at 80s synth pop revival, the same songs over and over and over again, and yeah you've got the most hideous 30 minutes of my year so far.
Benson Boone's American Heart feels like a chatgpt attempt at making a pop album in 2025, taking everything that's been popular in the past few years and making it in the worst way possible. Mystical Magical might be up there with Dance ... read more

Lil Tecca - DOPAMINE

i think this could've used a bit less songs..
some of these are genuinely great but for the most part they're just okay and after a while it sounds a bit repetitive. if he just cut off some of the excess and focused on the rest it could've been incredible imo.
also i think i was a bit disappointed because the first two singles prepared me for some fun summer bangers but instead he drifts away from that and goes towards something a lot darker, which sounds really good too but ... read more

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Phantom Island

in a world full of ai nonsense and cheesey 80s throwbacks hoping to juice every penny out of you, KGLW remain one of those bands that goes wherever they want no matter what, they go in the studio and split their little australian heads open and let the creativity flow no matter how weird and fun it may be. this was a very fun listen and you can hear they're having just as much fun making it. tracks felt really diverse and i happen to love every single one :)

Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher

(2025 relisten) it's hard for me to be objective with this album, i dont it's possible to be objective with art in general but especially here, this is a record that i hold dear to my heart that was there for me throughout very different and very special moments of my life. tonight is another one of those moments as i hadn't heard it in a while and decided to delve back in. As far as i can remember my last memories with this project were moments spent with my abusive ex, they ... read more

i spent 40 minutes waiting for a bad song and im still waiting. i could ask you what your favorite song from this is and no matter what the answer is i couldn't disagree. incredibly touching

Car Seat Headrest - The Scholars

i really like what they're doing on here, it's a very interesting listen, i dont know if i'll be going back to it a lot but i definitely thought it was a compelling listen

yeule - Evangelic Girl is a Gun
76

Evangelic Girl is a Gun isn't particularly a low point in Yeule's discography by any means as it features some of their best songwriting and performances to date. It just, to me, lacks the creative vision they had on Softscars or Serotonin. This one feels a bit more disjointed, i liked it a lot but i definitely expected a bit more from it considering how awesome all the visuals looked leading up to it

Addison Rae - Addison
86

never thought that Addison Rae, of all people, would be the one pushing for creativity in pop music.. this was incredibly fun and influenced by a lot of stuff that we don't usually see in pop music these days, it was a gamble but a good one for sure! it's a love letter to pop music as a whole and it happens to be done very tastefully
