Before this, Kanye wasn't known as a rapper, if anybody knew him, it was for his incredible beat making skills, so for his first rap album, how would it fare? Solid songs throughout, too bad for an album that tries to be ambitious, it lacks any real cohesive concept and the tracks don't feel connected at all. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, they are still good, but I can't resonate with them at all. As usual for a Schoolboy Q album, the beats are amazing on nearly every song. The first disc is just leftovers from the first We Don't Trust You album, which are meh at best. However the second disk really carries this album, especially the A$AP Rocky feature, I find it even better than We Don't Trust You.
