Peggy is so balls-deep in his onuca era he forgot to get some new beats and instrumentals for half of the album
I had high expectations for this album and Noga managed to surpass them. undeniable replay value, both back-to-back, as well as individual batches of songs for a particular mood.
I love the cohesiveness of this album – it’s synth pop through and through, while also incorporating elements of different genres in each song. I never would’ve thought that a synth pop x jazz crossover would sound so good.
I hope next time around her team allows her to be more than just “so fucking horny” , as she says on one of the slower, stripped-down songs. there’s a potential to her hindered by suits in boardroom meetings.
it's a generic trap album that is sonically expired by 6-ish years. it felt like listening to the same two songs interchangeably for 48 minutes with a little break that is the horrifically mixed "Detox". I genuinely thought at first that my headphones were glitching/breaking down. also, did we really need another Future collab in the year of 2024? bro should change his name to Feature at this point.
I get the hype. the production on this is so good it took me by surprise but I don't feel like I'm the target audience for this, some of the songs seem to me like recycled versions of the other songs on the album. the vulnerable ballads are my favorites off of The Rise and Fall (...) but they unfortunately expose the "recycling" the most.
I genuinely wish I could enjoy the tape as much as others seem to but boy, was I bored and at times annoyed while listening. there’s a thin line between a cohesive body of work and forgettable repetitiveness which I think this project crosses. Quadeca and I are the same exact age and I think that’s the reason why SCRAPYARD bored me – emo lofi soundcloud rap was all the rage when we were teens, so it makes sense that he as an artist is influenced by that era, and that I as a ... read more
what a perfect marriage of some of my favorite genres. admittedly, I haven’t been keeping up with the rap scene for a couple of years now, so previously I only knew Peggy from singles and features. this project makes me want to check out all of his discography asap.
had they made an EP out of the disc 2 tracks, it would’ve been an easy +80 for me. alas, they hadn’t.
Future doesn’t have the range for a project like this but Metro’s production makes it worth a listen
I hurt myself coming into this with higher expectations than even Eminem seems to have set for himself. "The Death of Ambition" would be more of an accurate title.
I'm not above juvenile humor (if I were, I wouldn't be listening to an Eminem record) but it's only funny when it's earnest, as used to be the case with Eminem. here, it is simply saying words just to fill time, no double entrendres, word-play, or humor.
a surprisingly huge chunk of the record is spent ... read more
while listening to the album, I thought to myself that I absolutely would’ve been into it at like 14. well, imagine my (lack of) shock when I came here and saw that they are signed to Fueled By Ramen.
