Inhaler - Open Wide
93

Inhalers third album brings me so much joy. I believe that 'Open Wide' is one of the best albums that Inhaler has created so far. I thoroughly enjoyed the change of sound that is presented throughout the album as it leans to a more pop sound. To be completely honest, I would have been disappointed if we had gotten a slightly different version of 'Cuts and Bruises' or 'It Won't Always Be Like This', in the sense that it would have felt repetitive and ... read more

Sam Fender - People Watching

Absolutely incredible album! Sam Fender never fails to completely exceed my expectations when it comes to his music. The production on this album is fantastic, some tracks I will say feel a bit too big and full, but I believe that may be influenced by my personal opinion. My favourite tracks are definitely 'TV Dinner', 'Chin Up' and 'Rein Me In' due to their unique lyricism and fantastic production work. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

beabadoobee - This Is How Tomorrow Moves

Great album, very personal. I, myself, am not the biggest Beabadoobee fan but she has songs I enjoy, this album really helped me understand her further. One of my favourites is 'This Is How It Went' due to it being a parallel or an answer to her song 'The Way Things Go'. I loved the concept of the two songs being related to each other as well as being very personal to her. I also enjoyed that some tracks resembled more of her early releases, such as 'California' ... read more

Fontaines D.C. - Romance

Arguably, one of the bests albums of this year. Whoever decided the order of the tracks is a genius, it's very pleasant to listen to completely. In Romance, I think that you can clearly tell they have spent time away from each other, and might've had experiences that changed their perspective on certain things/topics. I think that this time frame really opened doors for Fontaines D.C. to create something unique and different to what they have done previously, whilst still keeping ... read more

Wallows - Model

Honestly, I expected more. I only genuinely liked about 3 tracks off of this album, and haven't listened to them all that often. I liked the sound on some of the tracks further into the album, the sound gets more interesting but not better. Wasn't the biggest fan.

Charli xcx - BRAT

I honestly loved brat more than I thought I would. I loved the energy and the authenticity that radiated from this album. It's admirable how she was able to create such a space for her to really express herself, whilst still keeping that energy in the following tracks. It really shows every side of her, which almost makes brat relatable in our own personal ways.
