Gorgeous album. Beautiful vocals from variety of artists with different spirits which makes LP deliver a wide umbrella of emotions. Decent versatility in use of DnB subgenres makes listening even more interesting. Here we have liquid dnb, dancefloor and jump up tho may be the presence of last one is not potent. All the songs are good quality-wise so I can't even say which pieces I didn't like the most. But I can say which are near masterpieces such as Close Your Eyes and Feel So High. The ... read more
Classic of the genre at this point. Very solid and consistent album from the beginning till the end. Not a single song falls lower than 6/10 individually for me. I was familiar with most of the songs but somehow I never payed attention to Time To Let Go and Requiem which is now my favorite piece of this album and for some reason most underrated in terms of streams. For 3 years I was quite cold towards this LP but now I really savor it.
Another uninspiring release with boring pop stuff. The first part had at least one really good song but here we have 3 absolute nothing burgers, Lions remake that now is somehow listenable, You Wanted sounds generic but tolerable and the only song which shows something interesting is Collecting Thoughts. Quite disappointing.
Industrial Strain slaps, All We Needed is... it exists, Lions is a big stinker, Take It Away is okay.
Not as good as Self vs Self from 2010 but still not bad at all.
Great album. Watercolour, Crush, The Island Pt. 1 and Witchcraft are timeless bangers. And the most surprising song for me to discover is Self vs Self. Wow... what an absolute ear blaster, I heard half of the songs before listening the whole album but somehow I have never heard Self vs Self and it impressed me the most.
Simple and easily accessible to listen for people who are not invested in dnb. Album feels very light which makes it good for walking outside on a sunny day (good try Maduk but I ain't going outside). Release packs some bangers like New Beginning, Bringing Me Down and Transformations. Yeah, there are some stinkers that are too simplified and boring to listen but I think Maduk never intended this album to be a boundaries pushing mastepiece. Overall not a bad work that provides some soft tunes ... read more
I'm not sure but Solar System might be the song that was my entry in Drum and Bass because I recall listening to this song when I didn't know what subgenres EDM consists of. 4 years and countless plays later these two songs are still slappin'
On the day of the release I had no expectations for this EP because I didn't know who Manta is and was pleasantly surprised. 2 out of 4 songs are bangers, other 2 could be better but still okay if you got them while shuffling your playlist
Album cover of this EP is a work of art. What about music? I mean... it's okay. Immersion and Blasters & Flowers are pretty good. Time Illusion is forgettable. Vibrance is a stinky one, this fucking annoying little sound every 3 second is unbearable.
This songs feels like a fresh, juicy fruit. Singing is so powerful. Certified ear slapper.
Nothing to see here. Just Black Sun Empire and Burr Oak being good at producing music... Jokes aside this song is a highlight of 2023 in the neurofunk scene for me. What a cheek slapper, skull crusher and just bangussy.
I love Burr Oak and I want this album to be my favorite one.
Previously released singles like Symbolic, Ring The Death Knell, Criminal Romance and Supreme Entity are fabulous pieces of music and when I initially looked at the line-up of the release I got excited anticipating my brain will explode from the amount of new teeth shattering songs I'm about to hear in addition to already existing ones (18 entries!) and it's going to be "THE Neurofunk Album". And to be fair this release is ... read more
This song is a lovely improvement from the previous single "Where Do We Go". The main hook "DJ turn it up" may sound very cliche but it doesn't matter because it's still captivating. The energetic melody makes you want to go to club and dance which is what this song is best for.
The lyrics are mediocre and the beat itself does not offer anything interesting. But I can see the appeal of the song for people who don't feel strong about drum and bass or just start to explore the genre thanks to the absence of certain "complexity".
Quite diverse album in terms of quality. There are pretty good songs (Panorama, Rise, Deconstruct, Visions). There is song that's alright but not for me (Lost). And there are 2 songs from different universes.
Recombine sounds boring and is the weak spot of the album. Discotheque is the pinnacle of the release, the best song by far.
Airplane remix is a nice revision of old track which i appreciate. Pola & Bryson remix is an interesting addition to the album and much better than the original ... read more
